Hello,

can anyone tell me where this plastic should fit on the playfield?
I also asked Kevin from CPR, but he don't know.
He said the plastic is part of their whole plastic set and maybe some early had it but rare to find?

I believe it could go on the launch ramp plastic. I never installed mine... in fact, I didnt install most of the extra clear plastic around that area because I have never had a ball get stuck over there.

Well,
my F-14 will bei finished soon and of course I want every detail rebuild original as it was.
But this part is missing on all Tomcats I know...
And I don't believe that this part is customized!
So, I'm still searching for a solution for this little problem.

I've never seen this fitted either. I found a post on RGP from 2009 where nobody knew either

Ok, anyone here who drinks a beer with Steve Ritchie sometimes?
Please ask him where the hell this part should fixed on the playfield!

Looking my game over, I don't see it either and this looks like the most logical place.

I put mine just above the top right flipper.

#8 9 years ago

Does it look quite similar?

#9 9 years ago

Well,

here's an answer from Steve Ritchie himself.

That extra plastic is a key fob! Put it on the key chain with your F-14 coin door keys!

Good luck with your restoration. It's a big job, but worth it in the end. Please send me pictures when your game is finished.

Have a great day!

Wow what a guy, Pat Lawler responded to a guy here about a Banzai Run a while back, Don't you love this hobby?

#11 9 years ago

Yes I do - this hobby is really quite special.

If my pin is finished I want to ask Steve for an autograph, on a special part of "his" pin...

I have seen a very similar plastic fitted to the central pop bumper on an F14 that was at a pinball show. I thought it looked pretty good there too.

#13 9 years ago

Ah, that's a good idea also.

Here's the place (upper left corner) , where I put Steve's autographed key fob.
