Cab stripped and ready to take paint off. Did not expect this!!! Looks like I will be replacing some wood! Also this bottom is just some type of pressed cardboard. Not in bad shape but should I replace it?

Good progress, keep it up buddy.

I'd recommend sanding up to 220-320 before priming, you'll want to sand 320 after priming as well as it will raise the grain slightly. It's all about prep really.

#38 3 years ago

That was my plan. Been reading a lot on here and watching Bryan Kelly restore TAF.

#39 3 years ago

For those of you watching going to change the topic to F-14 restore.
Keep watching for more progress.

Keep it up! Looks great man!

Beautiful job. I was thinking about getting another one and doing it when the new playfields were announced, but just did'nt feel like making the dusty mess in the garage with the hot rod and other clean tools etc in there.
It makes me feel good to see you doing this to a really fun game. And it looks like you are certainly developing the skills to do it right. Congratulations my friend.
Great pics too thanks.
