So I bought an NVRAM Chip for our F-14 Tomcat back in February now I need the Socket. I just need to know the part number I need? I searched online but couldn't find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Anton

Assuming you are using 6116 NVRAM you want a DIP-24 wide (0.6") socket. Part numbers can vary by brand, but DIP chip sockets are fairly standard.

since NVRAM modules are typically built with round pin posts, the round machine pin socket may be ideal for this application, but I don't really like them for standard DIP IC chips. If you are going to buy just one for this application go round pin, but either type is fine.
