F-14 Tomcat kicks out two balls on enemy lock

I just picked up an F-14 Tomcat and noticed when I lock my first ball the game kicks 2 balls to the trough instead of 1. The trough works fine outside of this situation and doesn't give extra balls in normal play only on the first lock. I'm not sure about 2nd and 3rd locks the game is unplayable because you can't get both balls onto the field and I'm not home to test them right now. Any suggestions on where to start troubleshooting? Switches seem to work and the correct number of balls are in the machine just need it to only give one ball on a lock.

I would suggest looking at the switch where it's trying to lock the ball. It may think the ball is there already so throws out a second. You can check switch edges and try to activate it by hand
