There are 2 different binaries for the same version of the sound roms (plus I think a third set when talking Proto labels). I couldn't tell a difference audibly between the two. Most of the bits were the same but there were some noticeable shifting of bits randomly throughout the chip. I posted the info to an earlier thread here:
