Quoted from GRUMPY:

I did my window wells and my back patio in landscaping blocks. Lots of hard work, but we'll worth it.

Oooooohhhh! I have been wanting to do an egress window for my basement, never thought about block! I think it’s allowed by code here too.

Yay!!!
I’m glad to see that you’re back at it. Can’t wait to watch your progress.
It’s cool that your wife wants to hang in the shed with you.

#309 3 years ago

Yes, slowly but I will get it done. Still working on trumps wall as it has now become known as!
And working on F-14 once it is dark. Plus working 60 to 70 hrs a week! I’m only 43 and ready for retirement!!!!
Oh and I am up to 56 tons of rock moved in buckets!

God that retaining hurts my body just thinking about it. You should have seen how much you could bench press before and after.

#311 3 years ago

I don’t how much I can bench press, but I know I have lost 25 pounds building it!

#312 3 years ago

Remember the big picture, It will all be worth it in the end.

Playball!!

#313 3 years ago

Any idea’s on how to clamp down the back so I can build up the too side all the way?

There truly is a part of me in this pin now!
A little blood never hurt nothing!

This drop of DNA could be what solves the stolen pin case of the future. Much better than the serial number as they can be reproduced.

As Jessie once said you ain't got time to bleed, you got to playball!

#316 3 years ago

You heard the man. Get this puppy put together.

The back flasher panel had to be applied while my play field was leaning against the wall. I had trouble trying to figuring out where to mount it to the rotisserie as well. All the back mechs and lights were finished against the wall.

#317 3 years ago

Making it a little tougher? No star post rubber for added brutality!

+1 for the big right hand draino.

#319 3 years ago

LOL, Just doing some fit up, but yes rubbers are important. Making a parts list right now. The white rubber kit is not going to do it for me! Not really for her pleasure more mine!!
Are these a suitable replacement for my stand ups @grumpy?

Quoted from heni1977:

This is a good number for the 2 white kill targets. But not the other 18 targets. I will need to look at my machine tonight to find out what the differences are.

#321 3 years ago

Thank You!

#322 3 years ago

Also want replace the lamp sockets but don't want to pay 6 bucks a pop. Do you know what diode goes on the socket?

#323 3 years ago

Basically any diode will work for the lamps. I use 1n4007 diodes as I can use the same diode for coils and lamps.

#324 3 years ago

Update, more parts ordered of course! Changed my mind on a couple things. Going to try black rubbers see how well they look. Got some sockets, lights, and hardware on the way!!

heni1977 the only thing that I can see that makes these switches different is a heat shrink tubing on all of them except the 2 kill targets. The switches with the heat shrink have lamp sockets in between the switches. Very close quarters and the heat shrink will insulate the switch matrix from GI AC voltage. I would just buy the switches you listed for all of them and then apply your own heat shrink to them.

#326 3 years ago

Good to go! Will place shrink tape on them and for the close quarters stuff I am going to follow in HEP's footsteps and put plastic tubing on the lights just for extra precaution.

Got a little side tracked since snowboarding season has kicked into high gear! But I am working on it slowly but surely! Wiring harness is next. Getting some new roll over switches ordered and following some of HEP’s tips and tricks!

Blast from the past! Never should have let mine go. Seems like an eternity since f14 was in my collection.

Glad to see your retaining wall complete. It looks terrific! Great job. That was an undertaking.

#330 1 year ago

Definitely was a big job!!! I moved 120 tons of rock and dirt in 5 gallon buckets! 2 yrs and 8 months of work but saved myself roughly 50 grand!
