I need some help troubleshooting a pop bumper issue. I purchased the game without the pop bumper working. been able to get the rest of the game running except the pop bumper.

I can put it game in test mode and all the other coils work fine. I measured the 10 ohms across the coil. Tried continuity test from the CPU to the the coil and Coil to the power supply. both are fine. I don't measure any voltage when it is in test mode at the coil.

The coil should be AE-23-800-03 but there is a Sterns 1-26-1200. Can this be an issue?

CPU is new... pop bumper didn't work on the old board either.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Quoted from bumper123:

Check for voltage on both lugs of the coil when the game is in attract mode.

This coil will be a bit weaker then the original coil.

I check it... No voltage in attract mode at the coil.

What is confusing is there are other coils down stream working.

Here is a couple pictures if that helps.

Thanks

I think there is a fuse under the PF, give it a check to see if it is burnt.

I checked the fuse... tested good.

Is the pop bumper powered off of solenoid and is only one on the Red /white power circuit? I don't see any burn marks on the board.

Checked the voltage on the power supply end... 42v to ground.

Checked both wires from the coil to the boards both show good.

The wire on the power supply is terminated here.

Found it..the punch down connection on the CPU was not making contact... pushed on it and the bumper works

Thank you for your help.

It was all you! Nice job. You may want to replace it in the future.
