Hi arolden
I have my ideas and other pinsiders have theirs. I do not replace someting in the pin if it is not broken-down / cant be fixed --- I may have an eye on an relay that is getting hot - sure if a coil is making a short is making the fuse to blow: I replace the coil.
To get trusty readings when measuring OHMs: We must unsolder wire / wires at least on one side of the coil - did You do unsolder - then measuring ? Greetings Rolf
