We all know the sub rocks in Stern and WMS games, but who has hooked up a Data East?
Before I unhook the sub from TRON and test it out, has anyone tried a sub in Tales or WWF?

The sound quality in both these games is treble heavy and rather 'tinny' with the stock speakers.
Will the sub take it to the next level or make little to no difference?

Well if its any help I've got a Pinball Pro sub in my GNR and theres a ton of bass, so there should be a decent response from the sound board to an external sub?

Be interested to hear your results anyways

Tried PSW-10 recently on TFTC, not very impressed personally. Provided some good sound for the orbit shots but not much more than that.

I have the PSW-10 on my WWFRR and JP, and the floor shakes with these two! Both also have shaker motors and great bass to begin with, but this sub definitely adds to the game.

Don't know how it would sound with Tales, but I'm sure there's some bass in that game as well that would benefit. I haven't played that one in years.

PSW-10 are the subs I have as well.
Have one shared between Metallica and BSD, makes a HUGE difference in both games.
Tron is hooked up to another PSW-10 and also sounds amazing.

Any other opinions?

I guess I'll do the test before I order a third sub...

I've cabled from amplifier outputs on the sound boards (across caps and/or resistors) to the Phono inputs of an old receiver. And since DE games are stereo it sounds especially nice. Well, nice as it can, we're really not talking high fidelity to begin with here.

Picked up another PSW10 and just finished the install.
The sub makes a HUGE difference on both games.

I had some trouble again with alligator clips causing interference so I tightly wrapped the speaker wire around the connection. Works like a charm!

I just got a WWF a few weeks ago, I game seems quiet with 100% background on. Is there something I'm missing here of is WWF or DE game's in general quiet?
