Quoted from Jgaltr56:Keep in mind the cost of production per pin was lower back in the day because quantities were many times higher. Frankly I find it amazing we can still get a new licensed pro made in the USA for $5500 and is a testament to the efficiency of any company that can stay in business today. Only time will tell how many companies will be around 3 years from now.
Also, because of inflation, the rise of minimum wage, the rise of insurance coverage costs, the higher cost of energy/gas, higher income and property taxes, and so on.
The cost of doing business 20-30 years ago was much lower, and there wasn't nearly as much overhead. But at the time, I'm sure people complained about things being cheaper in the previous 20 years too. *shrugs*
