Bah, playing pinball outdoors is fun!
As much as I want to be a part of this (i was there in 2012 and 2013) and would welcome the idea of "expanding the field", I think they've stated that its not that they dont want to, its that they cant, the facility isnt equipped to support that many people + the non-tourney players. I do feel like it would be nice if they could make it work, as they are leaving $25,000 or more on the table by not expanding, but i feel they have clearly stated that 400+ people is capacity for the facility. Plus Im not sure at what point the quality of the tournament would deteriorate with more than 400 people, there's the issue of having enough tournament viable machines, and then maintaining all of those machine throughout the duration of the tournament, which is no small feat.

Bingo! I'd love to see more people participate in Pinburgh but the equipment/facility, let alone parking issues make it impracticable at this time.
