Why doesn't he send this information to everyone via email as a weekly or periodic update? Or update his site with this information? I appreciate the fact that he's willing to correspond personally with people regarding this, it shows he cares and is excited about the game. But it would save him a bunch of time, keep everyone informed, and keep the grapevine out of the whole situation.
