Quoted from PoMC:I picked up a Twister in a package deal recently and man the air balls were CRAZY! Even with the back legs cranked up it seemed nearly every missed shot launched a flying air ball.
Today I replaced the flipper coils with a pair of used 23-900 coils I had in my parts box. Night and day difference! Sure, can still get an airball once in a while, like a direct hit off the drop target. But the game is totally playable now where before it was a shitfest of airballs constantly.
Check the magnet spinner disc it may not be level.
Quoted from ypurchn:Anybody wanna go in on a plastic set? I’m only in need of 1 piece.
http://www.pinball.center/en/shop/pinball-parts-by-game/twister/8416/plastic-set-for-twister
Which plastic are we talking about? I need 3 that are cracked. I also could use ramp....epic fail on my part.
Quoted from ypurchn:I need plastic 7 and would probably buy 10 as well if you didn’t need it.
Sorry no leads on a ramp
I need ramp way more plastics....
IMG_1934 (resized).JPGQuoted from woody6092:On a completely different subject, where did you get the labels for the target switches? Mine are getting worn and I'm going to replace them all and start fresh.
eBay for 25 dollars. Careful pulling the backing off of them it wants to rip the paper off of the sticky stuff.
Quoted from ypurchn:So your angles are about like mine. I’m specifically looking for the side north of the flasher. Where the 2nd smaller plastic comes in below the larger one.
Quoted from ypurchn:And here she is in all of her bented glory. I think I’m missing a stand off somewhere
That will work for now. You need spacers to raise it up a bit your plastics will warp if not.
This one looks similar but none of the specs match up.ebay.com link: Supco SM670 Blower Motor Util 3000 CW CCW 120V Kit Universal
Quoted from whisper:Ok , so just read through the rule sheet, is there a wizard mode in this game?
I have never heard of one. I have not played enough to know either.
Quoted from toyotaboy:of course, everything is for sale
Sweet. I would be down for 1 also.
Quoted from toyotaboy:I'd like to squeeze in at least one seymour hoffman quote. maybe replace "there's nothing we can do" when you don't get a ball match to "LOSERS! move on losers!"
That would be awesome!
I would say your coil sleeve is bad(coil melted the sleeve). This should be free floating. If you go the in cold weld route put small metal object in to give it some tooth.
Someone is going to get screwed.ebay.com link: Twister Pinball Centre Plastic Ramp NOS
Quoted from JodyG:I was asked to look into making a repro center ramp for this machine...is there any interest if I am able to do it? This would probably go onto my schedule in early June.
I see you have switched from the latexs to plastics. I bought one from Germany. That was a hard find. It would be cool if you could do a ramp for others.
Quoted from Scorch:Anyone have a spare membrane switch or know where I can get one for a reasonable price? Seems like everywhere is sold out other than people charging $100+
Try reflowing the sodor on the pins on the diode board the switch connects to. I replaced the switch it was just a broken sodor on one of the pins. It's super easy to take out and you can test these diodes since they just run across the board.
Quoted from Santis:Hi. Can someone tell me when the loop magnet on top of playfield get activated? thank you
It should get activated when you hit a lit wind shot(left or right orbit). It should not grab when you hit a unlit one.
Quoted from cpiel:Art blades? - do they exist for Twister? I haven't found anyone making them - already checked Tilt Graphics, Wizblades, etc.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Haven’t ever seen any. Someone get to crack a lacking!
Quoted from drypaint:Had this happen to my game on location recently. A good size chuck of the plastic to the left of the drop target broke off and managed to make it's way into/in front of the target and was poking out like a shark fin. Must have been continued to be played until two balls got stuck in the area missing the plastic.
Does anyone know where to find more plastics?
[quoted image]
I’m dealing with the same plastic issue. Balls will get stuck in that area. Needs some kind of protection.
Quoted from Santis:Hi. Can someone post a couple of pic from the clear plastics (I think they are 6 ) and if you can size of spacer. thank you
Yeah might be a few days. What spacers? The gray ones? I’m pretty sure my game does not have them all.
I am missing the main one. I’m currently making a plastic protector. I’ll take a pic once I get it back together.

I watched into the storm the other night. Can’t be worse than that.
goingincirclez Thanks for pointing this out. It’s an easy fix. It will save someone or me someone else some trouble in the long run.

Not 100% sure. Mine seems to unlock extra ball first. The second time seems to be super pops most of the time. Then somewhat random after that. Weather vain etc. I think I read something about awards are random at certain points. I don’t think anything you do dictates the award.
Quoted from xfassa:She made some vinyls for the coin door too.

Looks sweet! Send me one.
