Just recently happened to me too.. I felt really really bad, as I thought I was already very careful.. One small touch can ruin your day.
In the end I felt happy because no injuries to myself took place, I don't know what would have happened if I didn't pull back my hand..
Great post OP, makes us all feel better in some way I'm sure
