I’m having a problem with the coils functioning on my project EK. At the moment, only flipper coils are firing.

Machine has brand new Altec MPU and SBD. Boards both test good but Q19 diagnostic led stays lit green.

All coils fire when grounded, ohm out at around 11 and have 45v present.

What is my next step? I know I am missing something. Thanks!

Does your game have a 1 amp slo blow fuse under the playfield? If so, check the fuse and the fuse holder.

No fuse under the playfield unless I am completely missing something.

Q19 should be lit (that should be the coin lockout coil)

Do the coils fire during test mode? Third push of the self test button?

No coils in test mode. I’m planning on re-pinning connectors, I was just hoping I could get a little life out of this thing first.

Evel doesn't use a PF fuse. Put it coil test mode and wiggle the J4 on the MPU and SBD. If any fire, connector time.

Getting a couple solenoids fires from wiggling connectors. Looks like I know what I’ll be doing the next couple days. Thanks guys
