Purchased this from a guy who claims to have dozens of machines. For some strange reason, he shipped it with the board removed from the machine headboard. I followed his directions exactly to remove the back cover and insert the board. All kinds of issues ensued-the main one being that when I turned it on the ball return started immediately smoking and I shut it down right away. Replaced the ball return coil to no avail per his direction with a local pinball tech. Then engaged a local member of my pinball league who has a background as an electrical engineer for his day job and has worked on many machines before-he took the board and thought it had fixed it. He says there is a driver transistor issue and the pre-driver chip is blowing. Where we left off was he on the phone with the guy who sold it to me and together they could not fix it and this guy said he would find someone I could ship this to to fix it because the home version doesn't have a published schematic-thus no road map to follow. In the interim-he has gone awol on me-won't return my calls/texts. That was two months ago.
Objective: Find someone who can fix this board so I can play this game I bought 4 months ago. Understand I do not have the technical skill set to work on this machine. If the board can be fixed, I do know how to insert back into the back head board.
