Got this project game in to get it running and swap the Playfield. The more I looked at it seemed like a good candidate to do a complete functional restoration with as many of the original parts as possible.

Original -17 was badly damaged by Alkaline. This board also had the old brown sockets and chips where trashed. I put a -35 in here and rebuilt the Driver board and made a few mods to original rectifier and game fired up and played.

Quoted from KenLayton:

When I rebuild the chime units on those old Bally games, I put connectors on them to make servicing them easy. Just unplug the connector and take out the screws holding the chime unit to the cabinet. Then you can work on it on the bench.

That would have been a great idea. Would have been way simpler to hook back up. I had to stand on my head and solder it

Playfield is almost complete. Just a waiting on a few bits to have finished.

I got the caps from PBR but I got stencils to do the art. I will go thru my mail and see if I can find the persons info that cut them for me.

Quoted from Topcard:

That's okay, I've actually ordered some from him myself. I just haven't gotten around to using them yet. But when I saw yours, I was curious because the looked like factory and I didn't think anyone was making them now. Glad to see the stencils come out so nice.
Thanks

Yep. I just hit them with a few lite coats of Krylon Fusion Red Pepper / Safety Red.
