Feature lights may not be the correct term to use, but I don't know what else to call them. The lights in question is on the back box, it's the Player 1 -5, High game to date, tilt, match, and game over. I have a new MPU and I have re-pinned all connectors that go to the MPU. I also have toned out the lamp wires from the back box to the MPU J1 which all toned out. I'm at a lost... Any suggestions?

After checking so more, I found that I am not getting power from the rectifier board

Check your fuses to make sure one did not blow

#5 4 years ago

Fuse is good. I believe that J2 pin 7 is the correct pin location and I don't have any power coming from that pin on the rectifier board.

Trace that wire back and see if it is cut or damaged anywhere.

It tones good to the rectifier board

Have you tried unplugging your connectors at your light driver board and plug in a back in and see if that helps or jiggle those wires that those connectors and see if they come on

#9 4 years ago

Yes, I tried jiggling the wires. I even put new connectors and repinned them.
I'm thinking that I might have a transformer problem because I'm not getting any power from the J1 pin 7.

What is the best was to test the transformer and rectifier board?

Have you got 5.4 volts DC at TP1 on the rectifier board?

The backbox feature lamps come from the same transformer source as the playfield feature lamps. So if the playfield feature lamps are working it isn't a transformer issue.

Quoted from Brewchap:

I believe that J2 pin 7 is the correct pin location and I don't have any power coming from that pin on the rectifier board.

J2 pin 7 at the rectifier board is line power return!
Feature lamp voltage for the backbox is J3 pin 6 at the rectifier board.

Yes I do have 5 volts DC on TP1.

I mean J1 instead of J2. That is were I toned out the wire to. I'll look at J3 pin 6 instead.

I got 5 v DC now in my Backbox. I was chasing the wrong wire. The backbox connector needs to be re-pinned.
