Couple thoughts on the layout. Firstly, I like the game. I'm intrigued by the lower right hand region. The ball return to the shooter lane and the kicker at the outline with the controlled gate will be a lot of fun. Having it as a controlled gate will allow for a pause with a show before returning the ball to play. Just above that, the island without ball play will allow mounting of an animatronic mech or even a servo controlled bash toy that comes over playfield. Here is a thought for that same location. Instead of a single newton ball rolling into the island, consider 3 stacked up one behind the other. A hitting to the bottom ball sends the top one flying around the islands left side loop and locking that ball behind a post. Hit the bottom ball again and a second ball is locked behind the post. Hit the bottom ball a third time and lock it as well. A different hit on the playfield pulls the post and all 3 balls return to the starting position. Of course you will have to add 3 inline switches for the lock, either proximity or roll over type. Nice job on the wireform. They look very professional. I've heard it said that people avoid designing direct shots to the pops. I guess there are two reasons for this, wear on the mech and sometimes the pop guns the ball right down the middle back at you. I've seen older designs that protect the lower two pops with bands. Targets are also a possibility. Kick back targets could also be used though you will have to be careful on the angling to avoid the right down the middle possibility. One last thought. As you know balls should not hit a guide at an acute angle. Your design does well with this with the exception of around your pop nest. Most people encase the pop bumper nest with bands or posts with rubbers to both return the ball to play and prevent wear on the neighboring ball guides and damage to the ball. Re-working the newton ball island may allow you to put bands between the island and your pops. In another spot, you might also put a star post with a band to the left of your ET's targets to keep the upper right flipper's ball from bricking against the right most portion of the orbit ball guide. Last thought: Spinner on the left orbit ball guide?

I hope you make a video of them clicking away without the high-voltage power so we can all hear that electromechanical sound.

I want to put my head down there and hear all those relays give up their sublime tick tick ticking.

I didn't know using a mask behind a Translight was a thing. Thanks for posting.
