Do you project onto the playfield and then trace it with paint pens?

Pencil first, but yeah

Here's my handrawn-loosley traced placeholder art until I dive into Photoshop. You can see the end of his finger is the home phone light which was always the plan.
I used this as an opportunity to move the ballsave light to his chest so that was cool!
Anyways make your walking turd jokes
IMG_20220405_195442_01 (resized).jpgwisefwumyogwave I just discovered this home brew project and I have to say that so far your doing a absolute fabulous job.. very very impressive piece of “art” . I am a follower now and I can’t wait to see future updates on this project.
Happy 40th to E.T. !!
Its time for an update on the build of this pinball machine.. as we can’t wait for manufacturers to make a E.T. Pinball

Well I've been playing a lot of pinball with Friends and I've been at the pinball asylum fixing games for worlds coming up so I haven't been super available to work further on this game I have been playing it and making some slight tweaks here and there, I'm trying to get my translite in order, then cabinet art, I can tell you that the game is very fun it has some awesome flow and it has been well received by anybody who has played it.
Quoted from Vin-bot:wisefwumyogwave , can you post some pics of what it looks like now?
Sure thang.

That's incredible...
What's the board in the lower left of the cabinet for?

If you mean in the coin door area that is the bonus counter when the ball drains I pull some motor with an end switch in the cycle if you've made a Target Bank it gives you three points per as it runs around the seven switches

Yep that's what I was referring to and again, absolutely incredible...

Do you have any idea how much your game weighs with all the relays and wiring? Just curious is it comparable to a typical EM?
Quoted from TreyBo69:Do you have any idea how much your game weighs with all the relays and wiring? Just curious is it comparable to a typical EM?
I can tell you it doesn't feel heavier than wizard of Oz or Twilight zone which I moved on recently.
EDIT-but close
So when Fort Myers elevators switch over to digital circuit boards you snag all the old relays?
I kid! I kid!
IDEA!- All your coin door keys should be those hinged-rods you use to open outer elevator doors.
I got to play this tonight. It is awesome and much harder then I imagined. Need to get more time on it. The multiball mode is super cool. The work that when into this is incredible.

Groooovy!
Just watched ET at the movies last nite… I think I actually like it more than I did as a kid. There’s a lot more to it than silly alien moments and a bike chase, lol.
New translite thanks to cj69 one of my best buds. He made a blackout for the back to overcome coloring issues with the deep blacks printing at FedEx, a solid fix, I'd say it works very well!

Quoted from Cmartin1235:I didn't know using a mask behind a Translight was a thing. Thanks for posting.
Me neither, I figured it could be a great solution for someone struggling to print something at a chain so I had to share.
I look forward to doing an interview about this game
and some footage like we did with DRAGON BALL Z!

Thank Matt, although I did resize and create the blackout print, the art itself was done by the same artist that is preparing the cabinet art for my Hellraiser re-theme, His name is Neil Fraser and you can find his work at https://www.neilfrasergraphics.com/ He creates Alternate movie posters and his work caught my eye one day and I found that he is easy to work with.
