Really makes pinball seem a lot less nerdy ...where is Josh Sharpe when you need him.

What an great read. Robert is an awesome person, I feel lucky to have known and competed against him locally the last 10 or so years.

No joke, it's only going to take one clip of him in a finals going "NOT LIKE THIS!!!" to nerd it back to oblivion.

This reminds me of the 80's and 90's when the "E" in ESPN really meant something . Glad to see pinball get this type of exposure and it would be cool to see some tournaments broadcasting one day. Though, I doubt it.

If they would decide to broadcast a tournament, I hope they create their own. No need to ruin current tournaments' formats with production notes from network execs.

Instead of endorsement logos, it would be more like "badges of debt" for what companies are charging for games now.

Hell I was shocked, too, to see Chess featured so prominently.

Thanks for posting Eggbert - I never would have come across it otherwise. The author does a great job of weaving the article into a compelling story, but it's Robert who shines through... hope to meet him some day!

Quoted your original post to bring the link into the thread's most recent post...
