Previously unknown in the pinball tourney circuit world Eric Stone aka "The Weather Man" has taken the IFPA crown AND the Pin-Masters Championship this weekend in Mesquite Texas:

Just talked with Eric. Looks like he will be missing PAPA as he has a Florida tourney is slated to attend instead around that time.

Quoted from DRDAVE:

Yes Papa AND Copenhagen.

Eric has indeed experienced a meteoric rise.

15 months ago he was ranked 25000 in the world.

Now he is #92 !

He's looking for a creative way to get to Copenhagen as the expense to get and stay there will be tight for the currently unemployed Meteorologist.

Zach told him he is eligible right after he achieved his IFPA win. The cherry on top was his Pin-Masters win.
Maybe Zach can weigh in on Copenhagen?

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

Not saying he doesn't deserve it but at 92 would he be eligible for Copenhagen at this point? Figure all the spots are claimed already (not counting the tournaments leading up to it).

He's just putting it out there. Seen crowd funding for lesser objectives.

Quoted from Whysnow:

or you could sell one of your games to cover his expenses.
crowd funding to attend a pinball competition? sorry, but lol.

You'll be the first to know. =)

Quoted from Whysnow:

if you want to sell your Embryon or EBD or ??? to start the crowd funding campaign, keep me posted

Yeah, I was a bit hesitant on the crowd funding idea but he was musing about putting it out there so I did for him as he isn't on Pinside to see the reaction. And hey, you reacted. =)
Told him if he wanted to go another way than self funding route, get some bank rollers and pay them dividends if and when you win.
