Here are a few quick pics I took from the DMD in pinmame. First impressions just playing with the switches in pinmame :
-Software still seems 'early', reminds me a bit of AC/DC when it first came out.
-Looks like there could be a lot of potential here, if AC/DC is any indication.
-As you can see in Akuma's picture of his visual pinball work in progress, there is a music selector (looks like radio knobs) at ball start that plays a short loop from the song in question.
Animated gif alert, I tried to keep the filesize small (2 second delay between frames)
*** NOTE : gif may seem corrupted in the thread, try opening the image link (download link) in a new window so it can be fullsize, something is getting messed up when it shrinks it to fit the forum ***

I thought emulating Stern ROMs wasn't allowed. I didn't know it was that easy to do either.

Its been done foe years. Destruk had the .c file. Then a anonymous user uploaded it to the vp forums on dec 25th

Well yes I see now that it's possible but I was wondering if Stern would be pissed if their code was being emulated on Pinside. VPForums don't allow emulation of modern Sterns which I think is an agreement struck with Stern and the community.
