He was only a 1/2 hour away from where i used to live.

#14 4 years ago

Good call. I saw some of the prices and thought the same thing.

#15 4 years ago

Who knows. Just might be. The Gene games were listed/sold in large lots.

#16 4 years ago

But now you can get 1 instead of 100. Offers accepted

#17 4 years ago

Man, I wish these were still in Chicago. Not worth driving 1700 miles for one way. Not worth paying the shipping....

#18 4 years ago

Another mystery solved.

Yep, blue sky, green grass and 60 degrees. I can still leave my house unlocked and the keys in the car. The majority of these pins will make their way over to california in the next year. So far the pinball starved community in the northwest has enjoyed the much needed supply of new machines and projects.

#21 4 years ago

There must a good back story to all these pins. Have the been sitting in storage? Sadly, has the owner past away? Now I certainly do not have the space for any, But I wish I could snap a few up. Fly down, rent a van one way, could be an adventure.

#22 4 years ago

I like the way you think Darcy. Package deals can be made for it to be more appealing to you.
I have have several guys from Washington and California do that very thing already.
There are several owners of this lot, long story I'm not going to go into any more detail.
The priced ones are decent machines though, lots of parts machines not listed

Cool. If they are coming to Capt. Auction, send some good projects our way. Of course, Chris prefers if the games are fully functional. (But I don't!).

#24 4 years ago

Stuff has been in storage for who knows how long. I can't say they play or not play and I don't have
Time to try and see if they do. I do know some have plugged and played. Sold a Mata Hari the other day that fired right up.

A pinsider is making the trip to come grab a few ems, I'm sure he can report back on what he saw.
The term stacked like cord wood does apply here

Again WOW!

#27 4 years ago

Dammit, I'm close enough for a drive, but caught me at a low ebb in the cash dept.

#28 4 years ago

How did you end up with the lay load of gene gene the dancing machines games?

I bought a few and I thought Rick was taking the rest back to california.

#29 4 years ago

Any interest in a good fireball + a couple hundred for my TFTC?

This never gets old:

#33 4 years ago

Myself and another guy bought some, some owned by another person. There were time lines in getting them out and a kill date to have them out. They landed here because of some unique shipping deals we had access to. That's all I can say.

#34 4 years ago

Speak of the devil, I just ran across this photo I took at TPF 2011 in Grapeveine:

Mrart2u just scored himself a nice van Load of ems for some good prices. 9 and a extra head
Spent the day with them digging and looking in the units, fun stuff.

#36 4 years ago

Any gottlieb solid states?

#37 4 years ago

Cleopatra, another Cleo with no glass or back glass, star race with water damaged PF but good parts machine, has head, glass, boards and displays. Empty haunted house cab no head. Geni head with flake glass.

#38 4 years ago

We made a detour on our road trip and stopped in to see Kevin and all these machines, and we took home what we could fit in our van. We thought it would be a quick visit and back on the road. Nope, there's lots to see. Pack a lunch, I'd suggest. Kevin was super helpful, showing us all the storage units and pointing out some real winners. After we went to the storage we went to Kevin's house and saw so much more for sale! Plan a FULL day if you go to see him.
Kevin was great, he described the machines to me and sent me whatever pictures he could before we made the trip (Some machines are buried deep so, understandably, he couldn't send pics.) I would easily buy from him again.

Thanks, Kevin!

#39 4 years ago

Kevins a good guy. Me and a buddy grabbed a couple of pins a while ago.

#40 4 years ago

Anyone's welcome to come pick, prices have been negotiable and fair

#41 4 years ago

If only you were closer! Any chance on bringing a trailer to TPF this year??? Also, I saw one pitch and bat game... any others? Any rifle games by chance?

#42 4 years ago

No Texas is too long of a haul for me. There are a few pitch and bats in there and a horse racing game or 2. Don't have any gun games.

#43 4 years ago

there is a gottlieb super score in there, think 2 of them. and 2 quick draws no heads

#44 4 years ago

Shipping is the only thing keeping me back. I had a bid on a shipping website but wish you were closer to the midwest, specifically upper midwest

#45 4 years ago

Some have flown out, rented a truck and drove back. Cheaper than shipping because they filled up a truck and had multiple buyers in on the load.

#46 4 years ago

I found a gottlieb out of sight in there tonight and a pretty nice gottlieb Super Score with no head
Out of site is SOLD
