Quoted from rcbrown316:

I used these for the flicker only because I have 5 or 6 original lamp driver boards laying around.

In retrospect I should have just replaced the board with an altek for a few reasons. 1. all new components 2. these double the amount of connections. for an extra 50 bucks I think it's worth it.
GI is comet single smd natural except in the uterus thing where I used 2 green twin smd and 2 red twin smd's. Under the PF I used twin smd's in all the inserts. I ran out of color matching ones so I just used white because the inserts were in very nice shape.
Left incandescents in the back box. I don't like that too bright and reflecting off the glass

No worries as I will switch it over to Altek when you sell me the game (lol)!

Quoted from Philk:

Might put my Embryon up for sale,

I seen you were in PA and was but unfortunately without a new playfield/backglass and no one with current plans to reproduce them this one is a tough sell unless you get someone with the skill to restore the current playfield!

Quoted from Philk:

We'll see I guess, playfields come up every now & then. This is never going to be a restored museum piece but rather a player. There was a line of people looking to purchase this when I got it but unfortunately the gameplay hasn't grown on me.

Yeah dont get me wrong someone will buy it! I was just hoping it was in better condition as I am actually heading your way this weekend and thought it would be great to find one that I didn't have to go out of the way for! I went as far as looking for a NOS playfield as if I could find one I would certainly be interested in your game!

Quoted from Grizlyrig:

What we also need is for someone to reproduce the playfield.
With Paragon and Space Invaders getting done I think it was a miss to not do Embryon.
-Mike

One would think that CPR would do Embryon down the road. Kevin spent the money on a machine to handle the wide playfields so I would imagine at some point Embryon would get done. Probably, like Paragon and SI, they will have to recreate the artwork. These late 70s and early 80s Bally machines are sought after.
