New Embryon owner here! Mine had been sitting for years, but isn’t in too bad of shape considering. Typical wear near the upper flipper/ drops. Got it cleaned up/waxed and replaced the old balls (some of the captive balls were really rough), but haven’t decided what to do about the wear spots. Sound and speech weren’t working, but those both turned out to be bad pots on the sound board. Got most of the lights working (probably need a few new sockets).
The rubbers were dry rotted so I ordered a new set from one of the major parts vendors. Started installing them last night and noticed they had crossed out and not included the 5” rubber. This is clearly called out in the manual as type “I” and shown to go above the left drop and below the spinner. Any idea why they would remove this from the kit? I’m going to contact them, but I was just curious if there is a production variant where this area uses two shorter rubbers? (They did include more shorter 2” rubbers than I appear to need.)

Anyway, thrilled to have an Embryon and looking forward to playing it!

Yes, those original Embryon concept / backglass artworks have been getting relisted for several months. Would be very cool to have, but I can’t justify the prices myself. For future historical reference, there is a $4000 BIN for the backglass artwork and $680 for the playfield concept art.
