For those of you who have installed the home rom...

Is there any visual indicator on the playfield that 2x scoring is running during multiball, such as making the green lock arrow blink during multiball? Just curious.

The added lightshow at multiball looks like a nice touch. Are there any other changes to the code or scoring, besides the 7-digit display option?

Where can I get the home rom?

There are multiple versions available to download on IPDB, although I'm not sure which is the correct one.

I'm assuming the 7-digit Version 9 is the most recent one with the new lightshow before multi-ball start

Got the home ROM code installed last night. What a difference! Now there's actual incentive to start multiball for double scoring & getting the spinner lit for nice 2K point rips, bashing the vagina for points, etc etc. Just makes the greatest classic widebody even better. And the lightshow effect before multiball start is a nice touch too. As well as the updated Free Play option.

If you are on the fence, I would not hesitate to install it. Found on IPDB. However 7-digit displays are a must, because you'll be easily getting a million points or more with this code.

Is there a description of what this ROM's features are? Sounds like a fun thing to try.

Who can burn me a set? It would be great to put 7 digit displays in it.

It depends what type EPROMs are installed in U2 & U6. My guy burned the code to 2532 chips & my board had some previous work done to it & was wired differently. So we had to resolder & move some of the jumper wires to accommodate the 2532 chips.

Now I just need to install the nvram.weebly battery replacement memory chip & my Embryon will be done.

How many spins do you guys get at the spinner? I only get around 10, which always feels a bit underwhelming. The spinner itself feels a bit heavy and no amount of tweaking underneath will do much. Interested in people’s experience, and if there’s anything that can be done to increase the spinner count. Maybe I’m just used to my Willy Wonka spinner flying!

My spinner sucks... I'm lucky if I get 2-3 spins, and sometimes it actually stops the ball from reaching the top rollovers.
Any tweak ideas are surely welcome.

I always use a Q-tip with a bit of oil on it to lube the axle portion of the spinner. On a bad spinner it can double or triple the spins.

Should the pop bumper caps have silver or white printing on them?

I believe silver as my originals had silver, my replacement set had silver on I have a spare set that are silver

Embryon was the second machine I ever bought, still have it and play it regularly. I realized however that I really don't know how to light the spinner. I think I know all the other rules, but not that one. Can someone help me out?

Get in the upper right saucer(ball lock) twice I believe.
