Hey all. I purchased Gottlieb Wedghead Buccaneer. Its serial number 01001. S. Is this the first Buccaneer made or? Somethings are different like the side graphics paint etc. I’m no expert so i don’t know all the nuances. Can anyone shed any light on early serial number machines?

The schematic has test sample only. I’ll get more pics this weekend.

Do you have a contact name/email?

Thanks. I sent a email to Jay with some pics.

When I purchased the machine I had no idea it was 001. We agreed on a price and I went to pick it up.

Is this machine better off in a museum rather than a basement of a private individual? Or does it matter?

Is this a Cannonball hitting a side of a ship?

    Quoted from mufcmufc:

Makes it worth $65k if it’s the #1 proto

I like your thinking! I think I would have to sell it for that! Ha

    Quoted from wrb1977:

That is the nicest original Buccaneer spinner that I have seen. To the OP...that is what your pin deserves...ditch the Williams one!

I don’t want to replace mine if the one I have is original to the game. Not sure if there is anyway of knowing that, but my guess is it’s original to the game.

    Quoted from wrb1977:

The spinner on your Buccanneer is 100% not the original spinner to your game and is a common spinner made by Williams for their own pins...Gottlieb would not have used a spinner from one of their competitors.

Thanks! I guess I will keep me eye out for a nice original spinner for my machine.

I was able to buy a NOS spinner thanks to PBR. Also replaced all the rings.
