Picked up a very nice Gottlieb 1965 Hi Dolly

All fuses are good

Put in a credit the tilt light is on a ball in play light

Apron lights on as well

No Motor noises or anything else

What do I investigate

Not Familiar with GTB EMs came with 3 balls also ?

Anyone able to assist get this game going would be amazing

Thank you

#3 6 years ago

I only see the one on coin Door and the metal box with a ball

Any others ?

#4 6 years ago

Ah

Coin door just shocked me lol

Okay hmm

#6 6 years ago

Okay I'll try that

So your thinking it's stuck in tilt mode ?

#7 6 years ago

Okay

Well I'm speechless

So turns out this fuse was bad

Look at the photo
I have never seen one look like this but tested bad on my meter

It was the closest to coin door so no idea on value but I'll replace it tomrrow and see what happens

Okay so the 3 by the coin door are

all 10amp SB ?

#13 6 years ago

Okay new fuse bought and replacing the holder

Fuse wiggled some

Will report back soon

#14 6 years ago

Okay HUGE progress

Fuse replaced

Coin up lights on

Hit Start

Score motor now keeps cycling

All scores at 000 on both players

Where do I look next

Getting there I can feel it

#15 6 years ago

Okay even more progress

I think anyways

The score motor kept spinning so I manually pulled in the large coil resetting that bank and now the game kinda works and scores points

The 100 point coil is VERY loud and stays locked on

Which might explain the blown fuse from the beginning

Any other pointers and this baby is ready to be enjoyed

Thank you all so far for your help

#17 6 years ago

I just got game 2 days ago

So no schematic at this time

Okay so look at the reel itself not the relay that turns it ?

I'll check it out

Thank you

#18 6 years ago

Okay still am unsure how to make the coil activate the start bank of coils

Fuse is good and not sure where to go from here

Thank you

#21 6 years ago

Yeah it must be the reel

When I advance the 10s to hit 100

Then it locks

So I will investigate that

I will also look at the C level on the score motor

I am going to order the schematic tomrrow from PBR

Thanks for your assisting so far

I will follow up with progress

Also how many balls go in this machine there are a few switches in the trough area and this came with 3 balls

#23 6 years ago

I meant this game came with 3 balls
How many go into it ?

Or does the games ball count equal how many get installed ?

I never owned a pin with the manual Ball lift

Thanks in advance

#25 6 years ago

Ah gotcha

Thanks

Working on the reel now and still trying to back track what switch activates the coil for reset bank

Soooo Close

#28 6 years ago

Sorry about that thought I posted to the EM Pinball Tech group

Thank you all for your insight

As soon as my schematic arrives from PBR I will post again

1 week later

Okay I have the diagram in hand now

I am looking at the coil that for the start relay as it does not kick

So on schmatic it shows this so I'm looking now

See pic but what is the actual coil called that resets that bank

Maybe it's called the Set Up Bank Reset Coil ?
