As a kid I played my uncle's bowler and though I would like to own one. Fast forward a few decades and answer a local ad...
Not sure blue hair was all the rage in the 60s but this thing plays great

Had never seen them before when I ended up finding a warehouse (barn) full of them at some point some years ago (was looking for project pins). Got one. I enjoyed it a lot but the size of it made it inconvenient. I can't even find pictures of it anywhere which makes me sad. I MUST of taken pics!

    They are fun! Enjoy it!

New to it coin door parts to replace the lovely metal plate someone installed... Looks great and now don't have to worry about someone accidentally resetting the game from bumping the custom switch that was on the hacked door. Thanks JT amusements

Found mine in a dirty garage. It was coated with dust and dirt and years of cigarette smoke. Now a fun game and the grand kids love it.

I see them for sale cheap all the time. Having worked on a project one with a buddy, I can see why. Also, moving the back end was the biggest heaviest thing I've ever lifted. I'd like one, but saving that for the next house!

    #8 4 years ago

They are definitely heavy and a truck full. Lots of fun though with up to 6 bowlers and multiple games. Mine has dual flash, flash, regulation, strike 90, and blinker

This one actually got me started in the whole pinball craze. Once I bought it, we had to open it up and man, that did it for me, I was hooked!

EM machines all the way.. it's a 1953 model and "Mopar" has been a really big help!

I still have issues on not getting a 2nd puck all the time, so looks like I need to open her up again!

    Quoted from Nikrox2:

I still have issues on not getting a 2nd puck all the time,

I remember Cascade being a 1953, but not having 6" pins. Must be a very early 1953..
It sounds like maybe the 1st or 2nd Shot Relay isn't always resetting. Perhaps one or
the other's Coil Plate is magnetized..
I have a few shuffles set up, but only one that's a bowler. The Handicap bowler is my
very first machine. Over the years, I went through a couple other Handicaps that were
in nicer shape, and still have another stored that's in better condition, but this certain
one was my very first machine. That's where I first parked her, and that's will she'll
    always stay..
Oh yes, I'm sure you checked the last row of Rollover switches gaps, but thought I'd
    mention it..

Finished bringing this United Supreme back to life. Moved it to a new home last week. Starting on this Bally Mystic bowler next! This is the sister to the Magic Bowler I fixed up last year.

Thanks “mopar”. Hopefully I can try these over the weekend and get her back to 100%. I’m actually finally getting the spare/strikes to work on the 10th frame. So that’s a plus.

    #13 4 years ago

We love our United Cascade Shuffle and yes it has the 6" pins as well, plays great. Big hit at parties, only downside is the backglass I cracked.

Still really looks nice though, especially next to ski ball

My buddy picked this up for $200.00. He said the two pin doesn't reset. Where would be a good place to look for the problem. I never saw the game, but from reading an earlier post,it sounds like the roll over switch would be a good place to start.
    Thanks in advance

Guys, If you love puckbowlers, there is one available for purchase in Big Sky, Montana. It hasn't been advertised. It isn't working, It was working. It's coming out of a beautiful mansion, so you can be sure it doesn't look trashed. They want rid. I'm not negotiating. You will negotiate directly with the property manager that has final authority.

The game is 1960 United Line-up.

I have seen pictures, but they were lost with my old phone. It looks as good as they usually do. PM me for contact info if you think you can help them out.

Thanks. Its not as dazzling as pin artwork but blue hair there is really growing on me. Still looks pretty good for a 60s chick that probably hung out in a fews bars

Well - after all this time - and "Work from Home" - I've fixed all my games and everything working. So I finally had time to dive into this bowler again.

Issue - wasn't always getting a 2nd puck. (After 1st puck thrown, game scored and re-set pins) or, it would do nothing after throwing a puck. Neither was good for a game.

Although I had a manual, and it did show the relay switch settings (checked, cleaned, adjusted those) - per the manual looked closely at the Game Over, 1st and 2nd shot relays. The manual did not have schematics or switch settings for the score motor - which is where my troubles were.

Going from memory here as I've closed her up and moved her back into position against the wall (Sorry no photos) - but I think it was #2 switch - inside activates score motor, outside activates 1st or 2nd shot. After cleaning and adjusting the latter - I could get it to either touch one or the other and getting similar results of course - but the score motor was not rotating slightly after the first throw to activate the 2nd shot relay switch.

Problem found - the inner switch - which activates the score motor was not fully making contact - to make it do the slight rotation needed. Adjusted that and we're back to a fully operating machine again!

Took me a while (mainly just getting the time and room to work on her) - and then about 3-4 hours (did I say frustrating hours?) looking, cleaning, adjusting, and all the while with no schematics to really go by. But every blind squirrel...well, usually gets run over around here, but I found this problem and now fixed!

"MOPAR" - once again, even tho it's been a while - you lead me in the right direction - thanks again and happy bowling!

I love my shuffle - a United Embassy. It has the unique to United game of "Spares" on it.

Was looking for a Shuffle Alley 20 years ago. I called an amusement company to see if they had one, they said someone was the store looking to get rid of one, but they declined to buy it as they didn't work on them. The owner said he would see if he could fine the guys number and I never heard back. So after three weeks, I called and he looked for the number again and this time found it. I was at work and around 10 am I call the owner and he tells me if you can pick it up today by 3pm its your for free. Needles to say, I left work sick(ha ha) to grab it. Its the last EM title United/Williams in 1978 before transition to solid state.

I posted this question elsewhere ;having trouble with my United encore shuffle bowler it was working well until a week ago when I noticed the tens score reels are not being activated when they should , that is when the 0 to 9 score reels roll over to zero again
The ten’s relay is not being activated
    This occurs on all players
I cleaned and checked the 0 to 9 relay cleaned and checked the player up unit all good so far
Wondered what the resistor on the 1’s relay and tens relay is there for could it have gone bad ?
I noticed the resistors are soldered to the same lug on the relays that have a wire running from the 0 to 9 relay to the 10’s relay
    Thanks

Thinking of selling my Bally Deluxe Club Shuffle Bowler. It works but needs some adjustments - occasionally skips a frame, or resets to frame 1 on multi-player game. It's just a bit beyond my skill level.

All pins are intact and in good shape. Lane is in good shape.

Brand new repro back glass from BG Resto + an extra brand new repro back glass (hard to notice printing error).

Comes with manual + schematic, shuffle disc + 2 cans of lane wax.

I'm north of Boston if interested. Not looking to make $$ - just looking to get back what I paid for the game + the back glass. Extra back glass is a bonus.

I would consider trades +/- cash of pinball, skee ball, other game room stuff.

I'll be posting an ad on pinside as well.
