Really like the Triple Strike!
Picked up 3 new EM's this week. Roto Pool , Aloha and Travel Time . All will need some work, but excited to get them all.
Quoted from pinballbrian:Like the travel time.playfield is sweet .would get new backglass for that one.and paint around edges of head.
Just happened on a used back glass today! It's about 98% good, with only a few small spots flaking off. Best of all was the price, FREE!
Quoted from Darcy:Congratulations there Theo.
I will post some photos by Monday night. Hope the little guessing game was fun!
Here is a photo from the seller.
Hey Darcy, I'm working on the same machine right now! I like it! Enjoy. Does anyone know of a way to repaint the blue letters in the pop bumper caps? Thanks - nomo
Quoted from Darcy:Got the Aloha home, set up, and it is going to get some time to get use to that large flipper gap.
Mine has the post between the flippers. It works well to keep the game alive to add more fun. Does anyone know the real back story to the added post between the flippers? I also notice my cabinet is painted different. I don't know much history on it.
Quoted from Darcy:Fairly sure that the post between the flippers is not original. Most likely added later, by operators, or owners.
Going to have to look into the cabinet paint scheme, not sure on which is correct, or were there 2 versions.
Here is the flyer for Aloha, taken from IPDB. It shows the red colour on the backbox, along the lower panel and up the sides.Your back box frame could be from a different pin. Is the side art on the back box of your pin match the cabinet?
The Aloha is done! New glass from John Greatwich looks great. I know, the paint is not original, but I like it and the colors go good together. This one is going to a friend, for a fun game to play. I spent a lot of time working on it, now I hate to see it go! But a deal is a deal.
