Quoted from mbaumle:Some satisfying before and after playfield pictures of Atlantis:
The game had a little more wear than I had anticipated, but I think it turned out really nice!
That is sweet, I hope to be able to get my playfields to look as good
Quoted from MikeO:Addressing the cupping without damaging the rest of the playfield is the key.
The enemy of good is better applies here.
How do you address the cupping? Vid's guide always says to drip 2PAC into the cup, but what if you don't have a full-fledged shop like that, is there a "drip elmers glue" type option for those of us with more modest skills and resources?
Quoted from jrpinball:Picked this up today. Moving sale.
Nice grab - that looks good.
the "garage play room" thing won't work for me, my wife insists on actually parking the car in the garage!
lol, I have to admit, it is nice when its pouring outside
that is a gorgeous Old Chicago, the art-deco playfield is really appealing. Backglass not so much, but I understand there must always be cleavage.
Quoted from gdonovan:So how do you top that? Bring a pin along of course! I dusted off Big Star which had been sitting in the corner of my shop for several months ...Next cook out is the 25th! I'll take pictures and post when it happens.
Gary
Awesome! I think you will find an enormous amount of interest, both from the fun of playing and when you talk about the mechanics of the EM's - they are a real eye-opener for anyone mechanically inclined.
Quoted from gdonovan:Well as you know I was going to bring a pin into work for our party, and things were going well for about an hour when it decided to cease functioning and pop a fuse for good measure.
Figures, been playing it for weeks out in the garage and it was functioning flawless. Not sure what happened, our finance officer was playing and suddenly the lights went out which dropped out the game and came back on and it reset but after reset would power down again. After I wiggled some relays and fuses it decided to check out altogether.

Well, lesson learned - next year bring 2 pins, just in case!
Quoted from John_I:While I'm posting, I'll throw in a second EM that's new to me. I got this beautiful Bally Expressway from Pinside member "docquest" during the pre-Allentown for sale thread. This game arrived in beautiful shape and unlike the Ship-Mates above required a minimum of repair and troubleshooting. I cleaned and shopped the heck out of it and finished it off with a new slice of playfield glass. The game sure is a beauty. You have to look close at the cabinet to tell that its original. It almost looks too nice not to be a really good re-stencil job!
Georgous!
Quoted from Vic_Camp:I started doing scheduled preventive maintenance and repair on all my basement wedgeheads recently. I managed to complete 15 out of 25 from the line up already. My C-37 plays better than it ever did. Just 10 more to go!
I am a little behind, but what do you do for your PM?
Picked up this 1967 Gottlieb 2 player about two months ago. I still have some fine tuning left to complete
What does that wheel in the middle do?
Quoted from John_I:I've been playing with my new 3D printer. This might offend some purists here but I started making replacement start buttons for my 60s and 70s Gottlieb EMs to make them more obvious. They are now similar to the newer Gottliebs. I won't be having to point out the start button to people any more and it actually makes it easier on me too!
I think that is pretty nice. I find it amazing there isn’t anything on the front but a tiny red button. I literally have to tell everyone how to start a game. I was thinking of a sticker with a big arrow that says “new game” but this is better
Quoted from Sea_Wolf:Not perfect by any means but I repainted almost the entire playfield by hand (brush) then clear coated and waxed. It was pretty rough when I got it and I still need to paint under the Mylar where the pop bumpers are but I’m going to wait till I try to rebuild the middle pop.
Now I need some ideas on what to do (if anything) with the bad touch up on the backglass.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
That looks a million times better!
Quoted from gdonovan:Touchdown now at work for our Physical Therapy patients to enjoy, I think Magic Town will be joining it soon.[quoted image]
That is a very cool idea, gets them up and playing, reliving some old memories and fun times
Quoted from Raff:I left the webbing out i have never done it before there are cans you can buy that are for webbing maybe the next project i will give it a go.
Raff
The webbing from a can is easy but it does come out heavy. I’ve posted a short video of doing a cabinet with the canned stuff

Quoted from BorgDog:Awesome lamp. Target Pool looks good too.
Lol, that’s my quasi-steampunk light. Home built except for the switch. Guess what has failed twice now....gotta come up with my own design
Quoted from DodgersFan32:The latest pickup.
good grief, that AbraCadabra underside looks absolutely brand new!
