I picked up an Atlantis tonight and am really happy to have it. Its fully working, but The topside is apart and i need to put it back together and clean it up. It is a sample game. This is my first EM game and really looking forward to get to work on it. My dad had this game when I was growing up, along with volley and grand prix, and wanted to get one of my own. Love the game. Think I'm happier to now have this than any other game I've bought before...very satisfying!

Used to 90s era games so this is a huge change of pace. Just taking the head off with three connectors was pretty cool and its light! I'm sure i am going to have a lot of questions so good to have pinside as a resource.

Quoted from boilerman:

nice catch jr I did not see that.. from the picture the credit window looks like it would have the half moon because all you can see is white plastic. but a picture of the back would tell for sure... a picture if the left sling plastic would tell you if the pf was from the sample game since the apron that came with the game was not the correct one.
the cabinet should have the serial number in two places.
had steve at bgresto make me a sample glass so he has the art on file now.
so don't convert the credit wheel to much of a hack imo
a great game worth spending a few bucks on the correct glass. this title will hold its value

Serial numbers on cabinet and head match. Credit unit is half moon. Bumper caps are green and red. There is no left sling plastic on this game.

Id like to get the resto bg and sell the one i have.

I think the glass is original. Got some minor flaking.maybe the original credit unit broke and was just replaced with the half moon unit. Adding the green bumper might have just been an add on for whatever reason. 40 year old game, lots of things can happen over its life. In any case,.if i can get a repro glass ill sell mine.

Lastly, the game plays well. Everything seems to be working, all switches, though some need a little adjusting. Slings are strong, pops work well, drop targets all work good too. Flippers feel good for an em, all shots can be made. Playfield has minimal wear, cabinet is structurally sound. Doesnt really need anything except cleaning and to be played again!

Atlantis all finished...leds a little cooler than i wanted, but very happy with the results overall. Couldnt figure out why a bunch of lights wouldnt work in the back box, turns they are the match lights...duh! Only took me an hour to figure that one out. My first EM!

Quoted from Otaku:

Good job. Although, I'm sure you'll find this end of the community is much harsher and more adamant on LED use than the other ends of pinball.

Yeah, I know. I used retro LED bulbs to try to mimic incandescents, but ordered the wrong color. I personally still think it looks good, especially the backglass, but would have preferred a warmer bulb. The camera exaggerates the led effects a bit.

Quoted from Bribo13:

Are those LED's in that Atlantis ? if not it sure looks funny, other than the lighting which may be the photograph it looks very nice.. clean. look like many hours went into bringing it back to life . It is a fun game. not as easy as it looks.
have fun . enjoy
Sir Brian of Ortonville

Yes, they are comet retro bulbs. I ordered natural white by mistake, was after warm white. Camera exaggerates the effect, in person it looks very good actually, nice bright colors for the bg. Purists will hate it, but it simple enough to change at any time. Topside was torn down, cleaned, adjusted, etc. plays really well!

Quoted from bob_e:

do you get the "stobe" effect with those LEDs?

Nope, no ghosting either. My eyes are usually not sensitive to strobing.

Been looking quite a while for a really nice volley and today I found it. Beautiful condition, very happy about the find and goes great with my attlantis. Now I just need a grand prix!

Quoted from D-Gottlieb:

Nice Volley. Where did you find it?

Local guy had it for sale. Nice guy, had a few modern games and this volley. He rebuilt most of the drop targets. I'm really happy to have such a nice volley, it's nicer than my Atlantis, which is also very nice. No wear at all on the playfield, cabinet really nice.backglass good, some touch ups but presentable. Once in a while you get lucky and today was one of those once in a while days.

Hey guys,

A friend dropped this off, from 1964 I think. Can I get a rubber set and the nuts (plastic) that hold the plastics on from pinball resource? Slings are weak and one flipper chatters, which should be just a switch adjustment I'm hoping. Never worked on a game before 1975, should be fun...i hope.

Needs a good cleaning too.

Any idea what it's worth?

Not only that, but the guy is the original owner, he’s had it since he was a kid. True HUO.
