Quoted from dasvis:

Dammit, those doors from PBR look NICE!
I need three.... then once you put the door on, the coin drop housing looks shabby, & on &on. Where does the madness stop?

They are really well done!

The only thing holding me back from picking a couple more up for my machines is that no one seems to sell the hinge for the door anymore and a rusty hinge doesn't look right with a new door (silly, I know, but I really notice it on my Flying Carpet that has one of those new doors).

Quoted from MikeO:

You can always sand/polish a rusty hinge to make it look better.

I hit it with some sand paper and a wire brush already. The hinge still looked really dull.

I did this step next. The hinge didn't shine up as well as I'd hoped, so I threw it into my tumbler which got it smooth, but didn't shine it up.

Never heard of this stuff. I have a lot of old rusty parts I'll try to clean up with this. Thanks!

Quoted from wayner:

I also find a quick abrasive blast works well.

Are you talking about sand blasting, or something else here?

Quoted from stashyboy:

The hinge is not going to shine like a plated part. It's just steel.

I know. The hinge I'm trying to work with is something that was so far gone most people would have thrown it away. I would have chucked it if Marco still had spare hinges.
