I would like to add an AAB - if you could pick between Flipper Parade and Majorettes, which would you pick and why?

Edit: Would like to move comments/discussion to its own thread -

Quoted from hoov:

You may want to start your own thread.

Good idea - done.

Thanks for the input.

#3780 9 years ago

Very cool! Never seen one before. Like the double flippers!

#3795 9 years ago

I gotta stop reading this thread ... Too many cool pins that I want now ...

United's Major League with "kickers", not flippers.

Quoted from peclark:

That is a beautiful machine! How does the diamond in the middle of the playfield work?

There is a popper that shoots up a ball representing the batter when you start the game. Hit a single, the field turns and puts the ball on first base, double second base, etc. and the runners advance on the backglass (lights) too. Hit a home run and the bases clear. Very cool and mesmerizing effect - I keep trying to catch the game "get it wrong", but the balls/runners on the playfield always match what is shown on the backglass. Fun seeing runners on 2nd/3rd, hitting a single and watching them score.

Cool touches on the backglass too - if you tilt, a picture of an umpire signaling that "You're Out!" is illuminated. And the pictures don't show the missing instruction card on the right for which I have a repro.

The reverse kickers on the top third of the PF take getting used to, but you can really get the pinball going between the two Single When Lit bumpers at the top and/or in the top kicker saucer.

This is actually the second ML I've had - found one in a Pensylvania warehouse about 20 years ago and don't remember paying much for it. Donated it to a fellow Pinsider who has a great collection of baseball pins after I got this one. From the two serial numbers we guess that there were at least 1500 made.

I won 1st place for best 60's game at the Texas Pinball Festival.

Congratulations - that was a beautiful example of the game. Glad I got to play a few games on it.

Quoted from Rat_Tomago:

Odin's getting my Surf Side. Central Park is headed to Colorado. Brian, should we tell them what I am getting or should we just wait until it is delivered?

Can I guess?

#4134 8 years ago

I see the cat's already out of the bag ...

The Surf Side is coming to Colorado too ... It just isn't staying very long.

Great example of Pinside facilitating a win-win-win deal that most likely wouldn't have happened without some out of the box thinking and certainly would have been more expensive for all of us.

Quoted from Rat_Tomago:

Wow! Those look amazing! What does the rest of it look like or will that be a surprise?

Hopefully a pleasant surprise. Playfield condition was always my first consideration when buying games.

The Wishing Well cabinet is an extremely nice original.

The Teachers Pet will require a repaint - someone painted it a very interesting solid orange color for some bizarre reason.

#4145 8 years ago

Yup. Just going to have to suffer with that poor Central Park that was the envy of many at TPF ...

#4178 8 years ago

^^^^^ very nice !!! ^^^^*

#4240 8 years ago

^^^^^. You picked a great game for your first EM ^^^^^^

C37 is unusual, fun to play and looks great.

My new Central Park (thanks rat and o-din!) is finally where it belongs in my EM row (or as my wife calls it, The Ding Dong Wall).

The Sweet Hearts slot will rotate with Majorettes and Sky Line every few months, unless SH sells, in which case Majorettes will take over as the prime tenant.

It's taken a few iterations, but I think I finally have my EM line up set!

Really sucks about Wishing Well - that is definitely new damage.

Just a shame, since I thought they did a good job wrapping the bodies. Didn't realize it was particle board either.
This is why I hate shipping pins - once they are out of your sight all you can do is keep your fingers crossed that some bozo doesn't do something stupid or careless.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

Did you use STI?

Yes.

Pretty cool that River Boat fired right up. It was disassembled for at least 15 years.
