Quoted from stashyboy:

Here is my latest restoration now complete. Not always that excited about this era of 2-inch flipper games but this one hits the mark. Definitely a lot of fun sometimes a bit frustrating and definitely makes you keep hitting the start button! I try to avoid full repaints but in this case, the cabinet was way too far gone from a bad repaint.

Looks amazing! I have a Roller Coaster that suffers from a similar bad repaint issue. Yours looks so good, it really make me want to redo it.

Quoted from ckcsm:

The Italian version is a one player with an extra score reel + 2 stationary "0's" to make in millions vs thousands.
I'm sure they are more differences.

Lots of differences in the coaster riders. Mostly the women/girls for some reason. They made all the younger looking ones a bit older. Would love to know the story behind the changes.

Looks like "m-a-g-i-c", cool!

A picture of your picture of pictures of some of your EMs on one of my EMs.

Oh yeah, beautiful pics by the way!

Very nice! I was doing some measuring this evening for potential wall removal. Easy job allows 8 or 9 pins. Tougher job allows for 2 more.

Nice looking Mini Pool too. I was baby sitting one of those for the last couple months. Never got to play it though. Every time I walked by it I could barely resist the urge to clean up the cabinet a bit.

#12642 3 years ago
Quoted from bluespin:

You could have shopped it for me and played it for a while. I wouldn’t have complained.

I figured with my luck it would catch fire or all the paint to come off if I tried to clean the cabinet. I figured do no harm was the best approach.

Really I was more concerned about the Lightning backglass flaking some more. Now that I was truly tempted to spray before driving it to PA.

Very nice, but what happened with the woodrails?

Quoted from Playdium:

LOL. Waiting on a Wade playfield for it.

Well at least the 1/2 looks super nice while you wait.

Quoted from jrpinball:

Oh, and my friend reported back.
His "Rock Star" is not a sample game, and does have the word "wow" in the music notes on the backglass.
It could be that none of these were actually exported to Italy because Gottlieb stopped short of making the export version of the game.

Speaking of Italy, any progress on the Speed Rush?

Quoted from Mopar:

Another beautiful machine, and I've been told I need at least one Bingo, but
the thing is, I already have many other machines I'd like to have set up, but
the room isn't there..

I can deliver for free when I pick up the Loop the Loop!

#13307 1 year ago
Quoted from Mopar:

Hey Jay! So far the weather's been snow free, but don't want to press
my luck. This weekend I'll bring the Loop the Loop in the upper garage.
Anytime will okay with me. Just give me a little heads up.. (T)

Will do, thanks! More ski areas should be opening soon, so we're getting closer. I did order a new backglass already. I needed one for my Exposition and you get a discount when buying two at once.

Very cool video! I made a quicky slow-mo video of my Hurricane the other day. The prototype ramp that JodyG (Ramp-o-matic) made wasn't working quite right, so I was able to shoot the video to see what was really going on. I had no clue my phone could do that until my kids told me.

#13336 1 year ago
Quoted from jrpinball:

Did you downgrade it to a tropical storm?

Yes, until prototype #2 arrived and it was upgraded back to a Hurricane.

Quoted from poppapin:

Give pinhead52 a shout, he helped me with some chrome caps.

Cool, looks like I'll be needing some caps for a 1964 Bally lockdown bar (anybody care to guess the game?). Was he making new ones or replanting existing? Anybody know if the Bally and Williams caps are interchangeable?

#13552 9 months ago
Quoted from poppapin:

Has them re-plated. I'm sure there are local places you can use too.

Thanks, yup, there are a bunch of places around here.

#13556 9 months ago

My bad, looks like it's a 65. Sorry!

#13559 9 months ago
Quoted from Mopar:

The machine I'm presently having a glass made for? Hay Ride?

Nope. No hay, lots of rides.

My lockdown bar is from a 64, but looks like is should fit the 65. That's where my confusion with the year was.

#13562 9 months ago
Quoted from Mopar:

Oh! I happened to jump right over this post.
So it's a 65. It'd be cooler than hell if it was a
Bulls Eye, but chances are slim on that, and
since I know you like roller coaster themes,
I'll put my money on 50/50.

Correct on 50/50!

50/50 pickup went smooth even though I'm an idiot and got my departure time confused. Thanks metalguy!

Quoted from Mopar:

Anyone know the true size of the playfield glass for Bally games from
the Mid-60s era. Hayride, Harvest, Gold Rush, ect. 21" x 41.5"?

My 50/50 seems to be 21" x 41 3/8". I can check the Loop the Loop also if you'd like.

#13633 7 months ago
Quoted from Mopar:Yeah, you' re right. Loop the Loop would most likely the same. I could have checked mine,
and if it's anywhere near 41.5", it would be the same as the single players.
The Hayride came with no playfield glass, and the Gold Rush came oversize with a
standard glass. I guesstimated 41.5", but if your 50/50 measures 41 3/8", that's the
size I'll be ordering a couple of..

Was real easy to measure since the 50/50 is hundred pieces right now.

Will you buy locally or online? I could use at least one. Please let me know if you find a decent online price.

Great video, thanks for posting! It is nice that you can see the cabinet art on many of his games.
