Well I got a Target Alpha with about 6.500 plays. After some cleaning, polishing and tumbling... look

No touch ups were needed... (but I have to still solve one or two technical issues...)

https://www.icloud.com/photostream/de-de/#A15oqs3qm6JV3

By the way... are also lots EMs in the US without a chime unit? It is really a pain to get the units here in Germany, since the german distributor wanted them to be delivered without chime units (at least lots of them).

Here is my new Slick Chick...

Cabinet is repainted... not really with the matching colors... but it plays first class!

And a nice Abra Ca Dabra...

aca_02.jpgaca_02.jpg
aca_01.jpgaca_01.jpg

The plastics got some protectors, seemed to be a good idea to use colored plastics. But it is too much - I have to redo this.

aca_03.jpgaca_03.jpg

By the way... does anayone have the small plastics at the bottom?

#2475 10 years ago
Quoted from Rat_Tomago:

Two excellent pins. Unfortunately you will have to order those plastics from Australia. The repros are excellent quality.

Thanks - do you mean this one...
http://www.pinballrescue.net/Plastics_Abracadabra.html
Luckily they have a small plastics only package and I will ask for a reproduction of the Target Alpha slingshot plastics as they offer something like a repro service...

Congratulations to your North Star... looks beautiful and very interesting!

So here we go again with my first line of wedgeheads...

965.jpg965.jpg

But now also with so more details...

El Dorado... all original, mylar on the playfield, took al long time to find one

968.jpg968.jpg
967.jpg967.jpg

Abra Ca Dabra... that was my first wedgehead... super nice original condition plus (not really needed, but it is okay) chrome package, playfield protector and plastic protectors (which i am going to replace since the color is too strong), close to perfect cabinet.

970.jpg970.jpg
969.jpg969.jpg

Sky Jump... very nice all original condition. I was afraid that the tax decals would detroy the apron, but when I got the machine - surprise, they are on the playfield glass

973.jpg973.jpg
971.jpg971.jpg
972.jpg972.jpg

Buckaroo... super original playfield, repainted cabinet. Regarding gameplay compared to the others... seems like the others are at least ten years ahead

976.jpg976.jpg
974.jpg974.jpg

And now I am working on my second line...

First member:
Bowling Queen - also very nice original condition

978.jpg978.jpg
977.jpg977.jpg

coming up - King of Diamonds, a very nice Aerobatics and a beautiful Slick Chick (with a lot of work to get it working again)

#4607 8 years ago

Hey thanks, I am really happy that I was "open minded" enough to get into the EM stuff. Pinball was not a part of my youth or childhood. Actually my first game of pinball was on Terminator 2. After killing 5 Deutsche Mark within "seconds", I decided... Okay I am a better beer drinker than pinball player

So my "comeback" was then 2006 with buying a STTNG for the office... with a delay of another three years I totally got addicted - ending up in loving nearly all the pinball machines out there. And the single players are really special to me.

And finally a trivia... Why is there a "ZCAI" on the spinner?

And finally a trivia... Why is there a "ZCAI" on the spinner?

Quoted from AlexSMendes:

Now it's time to post pics of the back of the spinners!

IMG_2310.JPGIMG_2310.JPG

And here we go with a video... as you can see it is not super well implemented...

Quoted from Mikala:

Interesting layout. Looks like fun to play.

Yes it is

Quoted from Pinballprowess:

I've never seen the game before, can you nudge the ball off of that post on the sides and onto the return lane?

Yes you can - but it is not as easy as on Centaur or even better on Viking... but it is also not so "easy" to lose your ball by "trapping to hard" like it is on some Gottliebs..

#4786 8 years ago
Quoted from Pinballprowess:

No... it doesn't 'appear' easy. I don't think a nudge would cut it.
Looks like you'd have to give it quite a 'bang' on the lockdown bar to even do it.
But I have never played the game either, so wouldn't know for sure until that time.

Welll it looks easy in the Zaccaria pinball app...

I can also speak regarding my machine, this may vary from machine to machine... if the ball comes in quite slowly, there is a chance to get it back by a little push - otherwise no chance.

So finally King of Diamonds arrived
For now my wedgehead line up is complete and I am super happy. Bowling Queen will get a new coin door, but that's it...

This was already there...

That is one well traveled KoD. Congrats!

Yes it's a globetrotter

@MIKEO or any pinball enthusiasts who come over to good old germany... you are invited to invite yourself

Just drop me an email and i will do my best to find some time to have some pinball fun!

#4960 8 years ago

Being so happy with the KoD - again thanks Nic! I decided to setup my second (and last) import from the US.

Using a voltage converter everything worked instantly absolutely seamsless... Mars Trek - maybe not only Sonics best player but also best looking machine...

Many thanks to Jay for selling this beauty!
