Quoted from dannylite:
My first working EM. Very exciting.
Played that one at York. I loved it!
"Gordon Morrison backglass women are outstanding. IMHO "
Yes, but (no pun intended) he gave us this also:
Quoted from o-din:
Barnacle Bill looks cool. Similar in design to that Buccaneer I just picked up. I am going to tear that one down soon. Not sure which to do first now that Speed Way is here. One thing I do have is time.
Wait till you see the awesome back glass we got from Steve Young!
The old back glass.
And the new one from Steve Young.
This thing is absolutely gorgeous!
The NASCAR Bowling Queen.
Just picked this one up on CL.
The glass and play field are great. The cabinet...not so much.
I just picked this up yesterday on CL.
My holy grail machine. I guess I can stop collecting now.
The guy that sold it to me kept it professionally maintained.
Even though it is far from perfect, it plays great.
Never in a million years did I ever think I would score one of these!
Quoted from presqueisle:
Here's a row I tried to mix up a little (yes I know all wedgeheads 4 flippers, 2" and 3", drop targets, standing targets, spinners, aab, roto target.
*and a good game on Buckaroo. Not with score, but I drained on ball five to get the 4, and heard the four rapid fire knocks. First time getting that on the last ball! (It scared me a little)
I would love to be greeted by that sight ^^^^^ every time I entered my family room!
Quoted from Drano:
I picked up the Skyway last night... but before I did, we gently removed the flaking glass and captured it on my windowpane scanner.
We taped down the entire back and scanned both sides.
This will be going to BGresto as a template to make a repro.
That might be one of the coolest back glasses ever!
Quoted from boilerman:
picked up a sleeper wedgehead. it is a game i have wanted but never could find one that wasn't worn. this one was cheap and is in great original condition. bg is mint, cab is really nice just a few bumps, pf was dirty but will clean up nice. the area below the kickouts tend to be bare wood but this one only has a few tiny spots that should be easy to touch up. the only minus was the coin door was gutted.
I wish mine was that nice.
My playfield is totally beat, and the cabinet has been re-painted.
That game really makes you work for your points!
Anxious to see it when you get it all cleaned up and running.
Quoted from Mikala:
Your garage appears to be the never ending black hole of pin collections. Every time someone mentions a game, there you are posting a pic of one in your collection. Just how big are those garages in California anyway? You shame us Midwesterner's with our big basements. Lol.
I think an O-din pinball tour is long overdue!
When I bought my Melody, the seller apologized profusely for not painting it first.
Said the cabinet looked ratty and he was embarrassed to show it to people.
Quoted from jrpinball:
Another factoid that many pinheads don't know. Wedgeheads were designed so that adjacent games have an adequate amount of hand space in between when the top of the heads are barely separated. They look cool too!
As long as you and/or your neighbor aren't smoking cigarettes! (OUCH)
She wanted drop targets, she got drop targets!
Picked up Target Alpha and Free Fall last week. Both need a fair amount of work.
My first freebee!
My cousin had a Williams Saratoga in his basement for thirty years.
When he found out I was into pinball, he told me to come and get it.
These pix are not my machine, but I'm sure it will clean up this nice!
When I start working on it, will post actual pix.
The Target Alpha I'm working on now, is beating me up. I need a break from it.
Gonna roll it to the back of the garage and start working on Saratoga!
I love the back glass on Lariat!
It has a lot of great elements:
Irresponsible use of a vehicle and firearms, an Indian playing pinball, a cowboy falling off a horse,
rabbits and snakes, hot cowgirls.
You just know there are a few empty Jack Daniels bottles rolling around the floor of that car.
One of my favorite games to play at Silverball. I'd love to have one!
I am familiar with the phenomenon, I just never knew there was a name for it.
I just wondered about the point of owning several machines of the same title.
Then realized it was a pretty stupid question.
Better to keep my mouth shut and appear to be a fool,
Than to open it and remove all doubt.
Finally finished my Saratoga.
What a great, fun machine.
Thanks, Alex for the score motor!
Quoted from Vic_Camp:
Here's a sample of what it "sounds like"
Looks like a great time!!!!
I hope it goes as smoothly as possible for you.
If you ever make it up north, you can look me up and play mine!
Good luck, E
Quoted from pinheadpierre:
Dude - you gotta at least come up with a funny explanation of why this qualifies as electromechanical. Nice ride.
OK. I expected to get some flak from that one.
Well it's a stretch, but post #10219 has four Vespas in the background, and I just couldn't let that go without a comment.
And the scooter that I'm seated on belongs to my mom, who's pushing 80, and I guess she kind of qualifies for EM status
Based on her age alone.
Uh.......that's all I could come up with.
Quoted from AlexF:
Sold off a bunch of stuff recently to help pay for some home renovation. Still have enough games to fill a wall in the game room. Just got this Williams Jig Saw from a buddy in partial trade. The Little Chief from another buddy a couple months back. Bowlette came home last Summer. 4 Bagger and Skill Roll have been with me since the early days.
Looks like a great place to host an Open House!!
I always hear the Steve \ Soup Nazi comparisons.
I don't understand. Every time I've dealt with him, he was always really cool.
I kind of wondered about that, too.
Saratoga, is known for horse racing and spring water.
There is a ship called Saratoga too:
"USS Saratoga (CV-3) was a Lexington-class aircraft carrier built for the United States Navy during the 1920s."
Yet there are references of neither on my glass.
Quoted from jrpinball:
Picked up this "Bowling Queen" last week. It's the fourth one I've owned.
Sold two in the past. This one needs the correct bumpers installed and this will be my keeper. Always loved the gameplay, it's such a colorful game.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Yeah.....but it doesn't have the cool stickers all over the cabinet, like mine does!
I love the glass on Air Aces!
.......What "mission" did he REALLY accomplish???
