Thanks o-din. That gun game is doubled mirrored. While playing, the targets look
to be 8 ft. away. Here's another pin not seen often. Notice the Gottlieb emblem on
the playfield being orange and white like the woodrails prior. The metal rail Flippers
emblem are white. Still need to be gone through, and will eventually get to.

Funny thing on Square Head. I have/had one stored for years, and now that you mention it,
I do remember the graphic pattern being the same. No way could tell their color. Totally faded
to just an image. I'm not sure where it was parked. It has a nice playfield but the glass is 100%
black and white. No peeling or lifting at all, just all B&W as if it were silk screen that way..
I do have a new glass and someday will have more space for it to be set up..
Yeah, that is Hollywood Driving Range. I also have Mini Golf which is a 2 player, so probably
like that one better, but HDR I'm thinking you don't see as often. On mine, inside the coin door,
there's a factory sticker (or looks very much to be) that reads the strength of the golfer (as
pitch & bat machines), but no reostat or any wires for it. The golfer does seem to swing too heavy.
The balls travels to fast up the red ramps, thus not hitting its mark squarely. I even took time and
made shorter ramps, but made it just a little better. I plan on splicing in a reostat..
I'd say good move picking one up if reasonable. They're out there, but I don't think I've seen another in person..
If your glass happens to have issues, I had that one made. Came out nice..

Thanks aahgo. Yeah, S.J.'s cabinet is just alright, but the rest of the machine is nice.
I actually have a 2nd S.J. with a poor playfield and think has a nice appron, but I'm
hoping another playfield pops up..
I once had an extra Neptune lower cabinet and just 16 miles away unexpectedly stumbled upon
a head (non-matching numbers), so I know another S.J. playfield could be out there.. (T)
Otaku, you had to of dug deep. Not many knew I had a S.J. before here,
and maybe a couple knew I had two.. If I knew about your project months
ago, before you were so deep into it, I would have pushed for you to get
my 2nd just for you to have a tamplet alone, then in time you could have
search to complete the second one..
My glass I guess was okay when I got in the first S.J., but thumps up for
Shay reproducing that one.. (T)

Tiger's an Add-a-Ball! Have to keep an eye open for that one. I never had seen that title in person either.
I'd say nice hit picking that one up..
This is that last one that I went through. Needed much work. Took much of this month, but it's
in decent shape and plays well. A couple Pinball Pals encouraged me to make the trade, and turns
out they weren't joking. Very nice Player.. (T)
Never played a FAC, but I do like Card Trix and wouldn't mind having one set up again, but presently,
all spots are takin'. Because I have two, I'm thinking about selling/trading the North Star that's set up
and maybe putting in a Card Trix..
N.S. is a nice playing game, but all the other Wedge Heads set up are Add-a-Ball which I kinda prefer..
N.S. cab.'s been redone, and overall is in nice shape..
The Card Trix would match up okay next to Hearts and Spades.. (T)
Okay Guys, I'm going to listen to Yas and play North Star more often to try and get the feel.
Perhaps it's a little psychological because to be truthful, (not that I played many) but I haven't
played a Replay machine yet that I really cared for, except for maybe Star Jet because of its
uniqueness..
Oh yes, Majorettes is a machine that will always be in the game room. It's nice when you give the
right nudge to light the 5s, but yet not drain..
I had at least a dozen Dimensions and a dozen Gold Strikes but only came across 2 Majorettes, and
it took some pretty heavy trading to acquire this one. Majorettes is one that I do treasure..
Years back, many nice G.S.s I traded for some kinda hard to get early 60s Gottliebs, but finally did keep one, and just
this past Spring I unexpectedly found another with a perfect original backglass (first one I found better than a 9.8)
and near perfect playfield, so I'm thinking about selling (maybe trading) with the one that's set up..
I usually only trade, but I kind of want to make up for what I spent on a Genco B.B. a couple weeks ago.. (T)
Do they have a good touch up crew? Those machines look beautiful, and some not so easy to find titles.
I wonder what color the Gottlieb slogan is on the woodrail Flipper's playfield.. Nice pics.. (T)

Quite a while ago I picked up a nice Stock Car with a nice glass and had it stored since. Never
checking the back of the glass, it was perfect but yet someone had sealed it and after years
stored, spots lifted. It's not a very collectible game, but the rest is nice and had an eye out for
a glass. That glass does look decent except for the whiting around the score windows.
Might you like to trade the Stock Car glass. I have to look, but I think I have a pretty decent
Lucky Hand glass..

I have the Majorettes set up, and also have both Slick Chick and Gigi, and if I was going to trade/sell
one, it would be the Gigi, although I never played either..

Yes, good advice. At the present, I have pretty much all Add-a-Balls set up
because that's what me myself enjoy most. Once I get room, I have many more
machines I'd like to have set up and not sure how much room I have for replay
machines, although should have some. The upstairs' addition has many stored
machines, thus can't finish it off. All other buildings are full. I do need to let
loose of some machines to make room. Like you say, going through them before
letting them go would be best, but because of other projects (non-pinball related)
limits my time to go through every one.. (T)

Yeah, back in the mid 90s, some days I had up to 6 or 7 calls on the answering machine
responding from small town Pennysaver ads. Quite a few I rejected, but a fair amount not,
and when I returned the call and heard Lariat, there wasn't much hesitation. Withing a couple
hours, a Lariat was in the back of my truck. I got in the hobby at the right time when the Ems
weren't too old, but old enough not to be working any longer and Graigs List wasn't popular..
For these days, you're doing good with the machines that you have.
You have that rare young EM drive, and I'm pushing for you to get that project Star Jet.
That really is where my eyes are focusing. I was with Friends tonight. Alcohol is like a form of
truth serium.. Waking up tomorrow, I won't be so open, but that won't change anything.. (T)

Looking for pics? Here's the Gold Strike I have set up in the game room. Last Spring
I unexpectedly found a nicer one so probably will trade this one. Outside of the wear in
the upper portion of the playfield, it's pretty nice.. (T)

Last night I first thought if a woodrail - "Balls-a-Poppin"
If metal rail - "Flying Turns", but later thought different.
Not sure if I should say, but I truly have a strong feeling
that the machine ends with L, and ends with L. If so, it's
a "Wow"! I have one of these that needs much work, but it's
all there and one of these days will get to it. The end of

Actually Skip (Toomanypins) donated an empty Bow & Arrow back box that I
plan on using. I'll also be transferring the playfields components to another

Since I had the camera out and could get to it fairly easy, I took a pic of the
Midway Rodeo. Midway didn't produce too many pinballs. I believe Rodeo
and Champ are the only two Midway pins that I have..
Oh, although not on the machine, I do have the knob for the turrot. I loaned it
to someone so he could have one produced for his Flying Turns..
Here's one that I have loaded in the lab top that you don't see daily.
I've read only 118 were produced but not sure if that number is confirmed..
According to Boston Pinball, one hasn't been listed on e-bay for at least
quite a few years.. (T)

Not pre55, but not too bad of one for a living room. The cabs wrapped when the picture
was takin', and actually still is, but the playfield's very nice. That's the original glass
which is like a 9.8, but the rest is so nice, I traded in a new repro. All the way around
it's a nice looking machine.. Not so much into woodrails, but less than an hour away,
I had to grab it..

to get high points, although I tried to get a high score so I would get added

I remember years back before Magic Eraser, someone brought me their
Fun Park and it had the dirtiest playfield ever seen. Beyond dirty (really).
After mild attempts, I gave up and used hand soap with scotch brite.
The paint had to of been tight. It cleaned up 90% with no paint loss..
2,000 grit? To make it extra smooth, or around the inserts?

I had to take pics of a Subway and had to move this 65 Bally to get to it..
A ways back I traded a game that I shopped out (Big Ben, that myself didn't
really care for) for this and at the time (before I had Lab Top) didn't really
know what I was getting, but because of its decent condition, and it has color,
I was happy with the trade. Its bonus scoring may be interesting..
I remember the older guy was sure happy to have a working machine (Big Ben). (T)

Many years back, I worked off my 2nd pin from an old Vender (and Friend)
and it was a Team One. Did the same for my 1st pin (Grand Prix) and my 3rd
(Gold Strike) from the same Vender not having a clue what type of players they
were. Turned out I worked off 3 winners..

play. And Swing Along which I also have wondered on it's playability..
Flying Circus is another 60s 2 Player Gottlieb that I have but never
played. Of course preferences varies, but wonder which of those 3 are
most liked. Hopefully one day I'll have extra room to have them all set up..

I hadn't gave it a thought on selling the Flying Circus, but since I
have Gottlieb 60s 2 Player Add-a-Ball machines, and you want it,

I also like the Art Work of some of those 60s machines and liking
Circus/Carnival theme machines, I don't mind hanging onto the
Flying Circus. Another one some day I'm sure I'll be able to get to..

Finally got around to pull this out (Odin was the persuader),
and when I parked this many years back, it had the chunk missing
from the top left corner, but no other missing paint, and even more so,
no other crackage (?), but I did already have planned on having another glass
made..
Considering how mushroomed (that I just noticed today) the plunger is,
the playfield's very decent. Those trapped doors could very possibly make this
machine an interesting player..
While still moving some machines around, took a snap of Friendship's playfield.
I lost track after the first 4, but this has to be one of the first 10 machines that
I owned. I went through it back in the early 90s before I knew about buying new
rubbers, so I cleaned used rubbers that I got from an old local vender..
Someday I'll once again have her in a line up someplace..
Also a Loop the Loop that has a nice playfield. The coin door was held closed
with Froggers Tape when I got it in, so I left the somewhat dusty playfield glass
on..
Being the last one in another row and didn't have time to pull out
any other machines, I did a little climbing and too this pic..
Only knowing that it was in a different cabinet, and with very little clues,
(if it was "Name this Tune", it would be like 2 notes), JR cleverly guessed
it to be in a Skill Pool cabinet, and after looking it up, I believe him to
be right..

I'm a little exited about this one. Mr. Pinball list it as the Italian Add-a-Ball version
of Mayfair (Has some Italian writing on the backglass), but the one that I'm acquiring
is an U.S. version and finding out not many around. IPDB is interesting in pics,
so once it's in, I'll be posting a few.. (T)

That I hadn't known. I have a Flipper Fair glass from the last run, and
one from an earlier run, and took a look, and neither have the word "Tilt".
Also, a while back, Jon (Canada) e-mailed me and asked if I would look at
the flesh tone on the glass. He said that his repro (the most recent) had
no flesh tone. I compared the two and the earlier repro does have light
skin flesh tone, and the most recent repro is pretty much white..
I'll have to check the original glass and see about added Tilt to the
repros..
BTW, I posted this elsewhere, but maybe this may be the best place
to check if anyone has either version (Italian or U.S.) of this game.
If so, I'd have interest in hearing.. (T)
Well, since today's a little misty here in Upstate, I took time and moved a few
machines around to get to Lariats lower cab. which Jay had said that he wouldn't
mind a few additional pics of. So I also took the time to take a few pics of some other
machines that I had pulled out..
Not a pinball, but a Bingo type gambling machine from I'd have to say the 50s.
It has wooden legs. I always hung onto it because it was made in somewhat neighboring
Ithaca, N.Y. which is around 1.5 hrs. from me..
I'll most likely get to it when the day comes when I have additional time on my hands..
I have a couple of the Bally EM Black Jacks which is pretty low production, but
this Williams from 1960 may be scene even less. The cab.s been painted, but with
the original having such a plan paint scheme, wouldn't be too much of a problem
bringing it back..
I'm thinking one day I'll be as far as I can get with my outdoor projects and will
primarily be working on machines..
This one certainly isn't in superb condition, but being Williams first Add-a-Ball,
I'm pleased to have it..
Years back, a run of I believe 12 glasses were made and a couple guys talked
him into not making it Skill Ball, but Add-a-Ball which was its first name (a few
machines did get produce with that title) until Gottlieb caught wind and quickly
did not allow it..
Since the machine that I have is not one of the much rarer original early production
runs of Skill Ball with the Add-a-Ball title, I wish he had done it Skill Ball..
Good deal on picking up the Hi Diver..
And I also noticed that beautiful Space Ship.
If you were closer, I'd offer a restored Ball Bowler
in and out. Not saying you'd take it, but I'd be stepping
up to the plate.. (T)

Not very often (if ever) do I see a League Leader in a game room. I have that and
Scientific Machine "Batting Practice", and if I trade off one, I'm thinking the
Batting Practice and hang on to (what I believe) the rarer League Leader..

I never had my opened. I'll see about getting to the
back of it and see what type of release it has. Has to
be like a springy metal flap. Maybe something I'll be
ably to form..
Mine will be needed quite a bit of work. Much is frozen,
but I've been there many times before. It won't be
anything new..
I'm feeling left out. I might have to set up my other 2 Cowpokes..
Although I should have takin' a pic when two 28' MBA Ball Bowlers
were in the basement. That actually happened twice at two different
times..

Okay, Thanks for the explanation. Although not much into Replay, I also have a Gigi which I
never had set up. I'm wondering if that also is a good player with a similar rule set.
Majorettes, Slick Chick, and Gigi are the only ones that I have with that type of Pop Bumper
layout. I'm not sure if there are any other Wedge Heads with a layout as such.. (T)

Having owned this machine and giving it to a Friend many years back, I saw that a fella
1.5 hrs. away (which I still consider as a neighbor) was in search of this title. Here in Upstate
N.Y., Winter like weather has decided to stick around for awhile yet, so last week I refurbished a
Mini Pool, traded it to my Pal for this Top Score. Went through the Top Score the last few days, and
now is ready for pick up. He's excited on getting the Top Score, my Friend enjoys Mini Pool's play,
I'll have a couple bucks to put toward the RTV I plan on getting later this month, so all is happy..

Yes, after carefully rechecking, I do see touch ups on Franks.
I had this machine for quite awhile, and probably before anyone cared about replacing the playfield.
I'm pretty sure it either hadn't been on route very long, or it was in an establishment where it got
very little play, or both.
I'll have to check if an old pinball buddy has the 2001 that I once had. If it had wear, it would have
stood out. That machine was pretty much A1 from front to tail..

Although I have a couple others with nice playfields with one being in the wrong lower cab., and the
other having only an okay cabinet, this one's cab. for sure is the better of the three. I picked it up from the
son of the father that bought it new in 1961. The only thing with the cab. is what appears to be touch
up spots on the lower front head. The son was too young to remember when it arrived to the house..
It has no coin entrance, or a serial number, but has the # 188 under the upper playfield apron..
Also, instead of having yellow and green bumper caps, it has yellow and blue.
Although a Subway is already set up, I'm sure I'll find a spot for it..

Yes it is, and not sure if you had noticed, but there's a small threaded hole lower
and in between the flippers where a post was placed, but even still, that score is
almost hard to believe even with the advantage of that post. I was told that him
and his Dad played partners alternating turns, and they had that high score..

I was thinking the same thing when I first looked at the front because the paint does seem different,
but I wouldn't be surprised if Gottlieb had the coin notch filled in after the cab. was produced and then had

would expect a game to be able to be fire if they hadn't put on the button themselves..
The Son was nice and seemed very honest, but being 58, and born in 1960, when asked some of the
questions, he could only shrug his shoulders.. (T)

Yes, I agree. Although they partnered up and alternated turns, there would be four sore wrist, and also, it would
have been almost a task keeping track of that many flips..
There is one other thing I noticed on the machine that I hadn't before, so I had to go in the basement and inspect..
On the head, the base coat is 100% original, but the blue and red has a small lip. That I believe may have been redone.
On the lower cab, there's no lip and I'm certain it's 100% all original, and what got me to reinspect is that on the
back end of the lower cab on Flipper Fairs there's three circles, blue/red/blue, but the circles never got put on this
machine..

JR, being the Sherlock that I know you to be, it would not have surprised me if you had
noticed a bit of wear, yet the gleam of new mylar at the pop bumpers, all adding up that the
pops were rebuilt before the pic was taken. One skirt was pretty bad, and the others were
getting there, so with Wednesday being a rainy day, it's one of the first things that I did..
Also, another thing that I believe was overlooked was the green out lane guides aren't, they're
red. With all the lubing being completed, and the playfield 3/4 done, I can already tell she's
going to be a pretty fast player..
Since the other two F.F.s have nicer playfields, I'll probably hang onto this one for a while and
then let it loose this Winter and put that toward a machine I'm hoping to pick up that will fit in the
EM Arcade game room perfectly..

I had a few weeks of work to do in Dover Plains. Every couple of weeks I would drive back
home to Newark which was Albany way, but 3 hours further West. A few miles outside of
D.P. going in that direction was this huge (not Castle) but something large and every time
I had to take a look. The last and final time going back home (the way as if you were traveling
to Albany), I drove in and took a final close up look. To me it was impressive looking. Albany was
probably a couple hours further, but that's the side of town that this building was on. As if one was
traveling to go to Albany..

The funny thing is, just the other day while I was playing the juke box that I recently got freshened up,
I thought I'd play Cowpoke for a change and did the same thing, all seven numbers. The only downfall
was that I had over 8,000 with 4 balls left figuring flipping the numbers, but ended up with this score..
That got a couple of unpleasant syllables out, which helps quality for Cowpoke to remain in the game room..
Edit: The high score was there when I picked up the machine, and there's a reason why I leave it there, but
that score surely doesn't add up for that machine..
I might add, I got all seven numbers with multiple balls, so not that impressive as achieving that
with only 5 balls, but still a score I may not see for quite some time..

A Friend suggested to use Mothers Carduba (spelling may be off) wax, so I picked up
that Mother's paste wax and used it on my playground vintage metal slide. The Lemon
Pledge (on the slide) worked better. After letting him know, he said no, you have to use
Mother's liquid wax, and wow, I now use it on both the slide and the playfields..
Note: I haven't tried the Gold paste wax, but I know the Carduba's liquid wax works great
and long lasting..

The last couple days has been a little wet, so I went through the Hyde Park which is
one of the very few Gottlieb true 2 Player AABs..
She plays nice and was a breeze to work on. Didn't have to make multiple trips to the
barn hunting down parts..
The backglass is tight but missing a little paint here and there, so I'll be clear vinyling
it and then touching her up..

I have a Magic Town with the exact panel like surface.
Of course original is ideal, but if someone hadn't already began pealing

Also, in a 2 or 3 year span, all in different locations in N.Y. State, I picked
up a Flipper Clown, Flipper Parade, and Flipper Cowboy with exact matching
painted on panel like substance. I redid the Flipper Clown's cabinet. That
stuff was a bitch to get off..

Yes. I had a Rock Star for years, but just last year I realized it was a sample machine,
and it does have the Wows. I know I'll have it set up in time, so I kept it in the upstairs
game room and took a pic with a lit flashlight behind the glass.
It'd be something if only the sample machines has the Wows, and the rest went to
Italy. Check with your Buddy if it's a sample machine, and if not, if it has the Wows.
I know a huge EM collector in Italy. I'll check with him..

Yes, and update on the Rock Star. Like you say, the word Flipper on the Card Apron
was not aloud for Italy, and the Italian collector I know (in Italy) his Rock Star does not
have the word Flipper. The sample machine I have does have Flipper (Buttons), so
surely it was produced with no intentions for it to be exported. Makes me wonder if
the only Rock Stars that got left behind are sample machines. The sample has the 5
Wows in the backglass. He didn't mention if his Italian version has them or not, so I
re-asked and waiting for his response..

Yes, that very much makes sense and I bet a switch in that unit is made when it's not in
the total reset position that completes the circuit to the kick back coil (or a Hold on coil) once
the ball enters the drain..

And the sample R.S. has the word Flipper, so no doubt that was never attended
to go to Italy. I'm wondering if only the sample machines stayed in the states and the

Rock Star was a popular machine, so sounds like at least the better portion went
over there..

Yes, I remember the 2 and 4 extra balls, and getting the S-T-A-R targets twice,
I'm thinking gave a ball or 2. Also, some targets switched instead of getting the
reel to spin, it gave an Extra Ball if hit. Maybe that happened only when you were
on your last ball.
I have to get that machine back out. It may not look like much until you play
and know its rule set..

I actually have a parts Fun Ball bottom cabinet which still has the instruction
card so I took a pic of it also.
The one with "Fun Park" in red is the one in my machine and I don't remember
doing so, but it looks as if I had that card made. I'm like 95% that I had, but
what the card states is exactly how the machine plays, and it actually does have
a Credit Reel, but the backglass window is blocked out. It's a good blocking as
if factory. I picked it up right here in New York, and being add-a-ball it probably
has been here all it's life.
My bg went bad, and years back I got lucky enough to pick up a spare head with
a nice bg. It has the Credit Reel window, but outside of that, everything else is
exactly the same.

below the number), but compared to the numbers on other sample machines I have,

From the outside of the left zero to the outside of the
four is around 2", and they're like 7/16" tall. Almost as
if the 1st set of numbers were scratch out, and then these
stamped in. Wonder how other Pro Football numbers appear.

I'll check for a schematic. I had already looked and didn't see

I was fairly certain that number was changed, and I'm betting this explanation is as good as any.
I looked and actually found a Pro Football schematics in the files. It's the only Pro Football I've owned,
so very most likely it came from this machine, and there's no indication it's a Sample machine.
I took a closer look at the top of the head, (and often the numbers are offset), but on the Pro Football's,
dead center it's faded as if something was rubbed out. The finalizer is, the number under the coin box
backing board is 06111
I wasn't doubtful, but just to 100% confirm, I checked that board's number (on an easy to get to) Gold
Strike, and yup, matched the front of the machine's serial number.

Hey Mark! Yea I had my eye out for a Hula Hula (and maybe even the Replay version) but got
super fortunate to trade in an AAB.
One reason was I gathered it was a good player, and also I figured it would look nice next
to P.I., and yes, it is a good (fast) player, but I'd maybe put the P.I. slightly ahead as far
as game play. and maybe also with the Hula girl, but Hula Hula's Hula girl would be welcome
to join in anytime..

So the machine has regular colored score reels with a light bulb inside the reels
that shine through the reels then through the lense type images on the backglass?
I'm not even sure I've seen a pic of that machine before, but if one did pop up, I'm

I will say there is one Bingo type machine I kinda regret letting go, and if I
recall correctly, it was called Steeple Chase. It was United (I believe 1952),
nice shape right from the original old time Vendor. The playfiled was laid out
like a Bingo, and it had the animated 6 horse race track in the backglass like
Derby Roll.
Because of it's uniqueness is why I kinda wish I had kept it..

Yes, Paradise's close relative Pleasure Isle has the same feature, and actually the other 3
Gottlieb True 2 Player Add a Balls (Big Top, Lariat, and Hyde Park) has a carry over feature,
but the most unusual carry over type feature is on Chicago Coin True 2 player Add-a-Balls.
(By True 2 Player I mean not just Shoot Again, but balls can be accumulated on the same ball)
Hula Hula has a match feature. When it's plug in the In position, if a match is made at the
end of a game, the knocker knocks, and a ball is added and that added ball is carried over to
the next game played. So after you fire up your next game, the 'Shoot Added Ball Now' light
comes on, and the first ball played is that added ball the Match Feature awarded from the
previous game. To me it didn't seem right. It would make more sense if the Match Feature's
added ball was for the game being played.
I remember C.C's AAB Bronco had match feature numbers on the backglass, and I figured they
were for the Replay Broncos and didn't bother removing them for the AAB's, so I took another
look, and the match feature had no bulbs, but wired sockets. I took a closer look, and it had
a Match Feature In & Out plug. I placed it in the In position, manually made it so it would
match at the end of a game, and sure enough. It gave an extra ball for the next game to be
played..

Yea, I had/have the same thing in mind. When a match is made, Hula Hula's
game is over (SHOOT ADDED BALL NOW isn't lit), so until one gets to know the
game they don't know the next game starts with a free ball unless they play another
game..
On Bronco, (having a manual ball lift), when a match is made (at the end of a game),
that game doesn't end, so the 'SHOOT ADDED BALL NOW' stays on, but the Ball
Release Coil doesn't energize, so there's no getting the ball to the trough unless
another dime is put in and another game started. The results are primarily the
same on the Match Feature with the 2 machines, but thought I'd mention how that
feature functions a little differently on the 2 machines.
I have the Match Feature in the Off Position on both machines, but I can understand
Chicago Coin's purpose for the feature, but it was a little surprising to discover..

Update: I've been pretty lucky with the 6 previous Flipper Series machines
I went through. Only a Flipper Fair had poor solder joints, until this 7th one.
Another Flipper Fair with horrible cold solder joints, and to top it off, it has
other major wiring problems. Not sure if someone had soldered wires incorrectly,
but this one's not going to be as simple as a walk in the park..

The icing on the cake will be to set up the Woodrail Flipper. Unlike the metal
rail Flipper white side plastics, the woodrail has red. Mine is lacking one.
Steve (PBR) said he's going to be producing them, so once he has them, I'll
be going through the Woodrail..

IMG_0526 (resized).JPG I've been working on a C.C. Sun Valley the past couple weeks, and since a backglass
was very much needed, I converted the glass along with the game into the AAB version.
Although I myself don't know of any, I'm very confident a handful were produce, which
would make it (to my knowledge) the first True 2 Player AAB.
I didn't have the glass digitized, so it's not super crisp, but much better than the original.
I just picked up the glass today, and after seeing it lit, I'm going to add an extra layer
of white vinyl cut out to form in the cut out areas to dull out some of the bulbs' over
brightness.
btw: For me, converting to AAB made a huge difference for game play..
The local Print Shop is in the process of making the new Score and
Instruction Cards to match the play of the game..

I went searching for the Jukebox and Collectors topic, and ran across that it's been 12 days since
this old time topic had a post..
I posted this game elsewhere, but it's the last one I totally went through, and this may be the 2nd
to the snappiest 1960s player I've gone through, and actually a better player (itself) than I expected..
btw: I forget. Anyone know what the semi-transparent lens is for at the bottom of the backglass?

Well, yesterday I moved some stored machines from the game room and made room for
the Top Hand and have room for a couple more pins. I'm thinking about keeping that row
1960s Williams. I played and like 1967 Williams Kick Off, but maybe considering 1962
Vagabond, and 1960 Jungle. I never played either. I'm basically into AABs, but I heard
good things about Jungle. Any opinions? (Also have a 4 Roses which I've never played)..
btw: How's this pic look. The ribbon in this laptop must have broke, and everything is green,
but I assume sent pics are normal and not green..

Oh, on the cabinet. When I traded in the machine, it came in a
1963 Skill Pool cabinet. The cabinet colors match so well, I don't
mind. I know that type of cabinet you're talking. I have a 1960
Williams 21 in the style cabinet..

Yes, I remember you pointing that out a few years ago, and it's 100% the same game.
I know the guy that had it. Someone from up this way picked it up and I made a trade
with him. Years, before, I meet this same guy in Binghamton to complete a Majorettes
deal, and the Majorettes was in the wrong cabinet, and looking through the coin door, I
remembering it having micro-switches for the flipper EOS switches, and who knows what
else. Needless to say. No Deal.
I never realized 21 belonged in a woodrail. That machine 100% came from a different source.
Because I heard pretty good things about Hot Line, another machine I may consider bringing
in next is Big Strike. I remember it being in pretty nice shape..

Well, I cleared out and added a little more space, so I decide to welcome
the Jungle to the game room. One I'll be going through when the cooler
weather comes around.
I got this in with it being in an inverted Wedge Head, but the colors go
so well with the backglass and playfield, I mostly don't mind.
After years being in my storage barn, the backglass which had been sealed
with packaging tape, held the crackling paint up well. The person actually did
a good job. Pretty much wrinkle free, but I'll still be putting in the new repro
glass which has been in the spare bedroom waiting for installment..

If I had to guess, I'd say I had this machine stored 12 or 15 years in a Non climate controlled
environment, and the tape held up well. For this reason, when a glass does need to be sealed,

Well, a couple weeks ago, I was asked if I could use a Gold Rush, but
already having more machines than room to set them up, I had little
to no interest until I was sent a pic of the backglass. No Replay window.
I'm not sure how scarce these are, but no pics on IPDB. Once cleaned
up and gone through, I'll send Jay some pics.
btw: If anyone happens to have the schematics for the AAB version of
this machine, pls lmk. (T)

Yeah, you' re right. Loop the Loop would most likely the same. I could have checked mine,
and if it's anywhere near 41.5", it would be the same as the single players.
The Hayride came with no playfield glass, and the Gold Rush came oversize with a
standard glass. I guesstimated 41.5", but if your 50/50 measures 41 3/8", that's the
size I'll be ordering a couple of..

Well, played quite a few trial games on the Hay-Ride, and she past the
ready to go in the lineup test. Her younger Cousin looked a little lonely,
but not any longer..
Years back, I picked this one up from a very rural horse/cow barn. There
was no playfield glass and what saved it from all the pigeon crap that was
covering it, was a thick layer of hay that laid below it.
Considering the conditions it spent much of its life in, I'm very pleased
how well the playfield turned out..
An Instruction Card is presently being made..

Yes, this is the room that could have easily been taken as a barn loft, but it's actually
the upstairs of the home's addition. Took awhile to finish it off because it was pretty full
with around 45 stored machines along with other items, and now it's comfortably filled
with playable machines..
I'll be straightening out the game rooms once it gets closer to the February party,
then I'll plan on taking some fresh pics..
