Nice Grand Prix Jst1499, I had a tough choice to make last month between a Grand Prix and a Aztec. Both were a 18 hour RT to pick up. When the Aztec guy said he was coming my way in April and would bring it along, I went with the Aztec. The GP will just have to wait.

#3864 9 years ago

I do believe Steve Austin plays a game of Sky Jump with Cathy Rigby in season 3-19. He loses. A fun fact for you to tell people when you finish the game. I will leave it up to the young bucks to try and figure out who these people are. Lol

Picked up this Aztec last weekend. Doing full restoration. My first perfect 10 back glass. The playfield is in great shape also. No sunken inserts and no wear around inserts. Pretty amazing considering the 60K plays on the counter. Should be ready in 40 days.

My current line up. Just finished the Aztec restro. A few issues, but looks great. I have a Gulstream waiting in the wings for a restro.

"Blue Chip" looks great. Fantastic job! As Steve would say "Another one saved"!

Hey EMsinKC, can you please post more pic's of that Riverboat? How would you rate Riverboat's gameplay?

My holy grail machine. I guess I can stop collecting now.

It will never happen! I said the same thing 3 games ago. Looking to add 3 more by years end.

I picked up this gem this past weekend. Was on my wish list, just thought I would never find one. Works 100%, just needs a full restoration.

It's time you moved to Chicago O-din. Plenty of houses with basements here. I'll help unload.

Fun Park eh? Probably the best 60s spinner game I've ever played. Maybe the best spinner game period.

Your garage appears to be the never ending black hole of pin collections. Every time someone mentions a game, there you are posting a pic of one in your collection. Just how big are those garages in California anyway? You shame us Midwesterner's with our big basements. Lol.

Did you repaint those flippers, or are those original?

Just picked up a Space Mission. Needs a little clean up and rubber, etc and should be good to go.

Congrats and good price for that machine. I was bidding on the Triple Strike from same seller for my brother in law. It went for $100 more. PM me if you are really thinking about letting a game go. You have one that I may be interested in.

Some pics of my recent 64 Williams San Francisco restore. Did this one for a friend who inherited it when his father passed in April. He wanted it restored in memory of his dad.
Had lots of rust and everything was seized from old grease. Special thanks to member cpiel for the free coin door surround!

Great Job! Did you repaint those flippers? If so, what paint did you use, and how did you do the letters?

It's either that or Michael J. Fox is starting to collect EM's and goes by the name Electrocute.

Glenn, you had me very tempted at MGC with that El Toro. It played very well and the Ice Show was also very snappy. I would have guessed you spent more time getting them ready. Great Job! Thanks for bringing the El Toro. I probably put the most games on it.

That's an interesting method of a backglass. I am curious to know if my Cosmos will have either this film method or a BGresto glass. I do know that my glass is not original. I guess I will find out sometime this week. STI update shows the pin being here by the 12th. It all depend on customs at the border right now. It should be clearing customs soon and on the way to Texas.

BG restro actually had a Cosmo glass ready to go at the Ann Arbor show this weekend. He had three bins of glass for sale. Some with minor imperfections, so he had them discounted. You should contact him.

She does look like Barbara Eden! Vic, we are showing our age.....

My old boss bought her house from her back in 1989. I was working for him at that time. It was kind of a trip walking around that house thinking Barbra Eden walk these halls. She sold the house because the town would not let her put in a heliport in the backyard. I still drive pass there about once a week.

Touch ups, check. Clear coat, check. Cabinet repaint, check. Mechanicals - check. Currently troubleshooting, this Gulfstream is just about ready for the York show - one of the fastest EMs ever built - simple but deadly, just the way I like 'em!
Looking forward to yet another wonderful show, see everyone in less than a week!!!

Great Job. My Gulfstream restoration was a nightmare. I put about 150 hours into mine and yours looks pretty damn good. Can we see more pic's of the PF? First machine I bought without playing it first. I had an opportunity to pick up a project machine at a good price and a few pinsiders told me grab it, I will not regret it. I love this machine. Addictive play and truly one of my favorites.

Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

The only time I personally own duplicate games are for restorations.
However, It is easier to do duplicate restorations while they are side by side, not just sitting on storage for decades. Bulk deals do happen for identical titles. I just did one for 2x Gators and 1x Alligator, among other games. In some rare cases I buy for "Frankenstein" builds as not all games can always be saved the due to severe damage or missing parts.

I could not agree more! I have two Target Alpha's next in my restoration que. The seller had two machines in storage for a couple of years and most likely never plugged them in since they were bought for another purpose. I had my pick, and just my luck, I would have picked the most troubled one. So I took both. Hopefully can make one, or maybe two great machines when I'm done.

my 2 cents
Cupped inserts are just part of the game
man vs machine
just a bit of a handicap
Now if the insert is missing
that is too much of a handicap

Creates misdirection, just part of the game.

My original first thoughts after I played Little Chief were blah, but I hold to blame that I did not read the rule set and understand the gameplay. After I learned it I really started to enjoy it. Collect bonus in game play. Thumbs up.

Here is a PAPA 2017 championship video were Jim B. makes an interesting decision to choose Little Chief over Iron Man and Ripleys for the final game against Zach Sharpe for the championship. Go to 3:47:00 to see the final matchup.

Pbr even ships here
For the first order they will send an invoice and request you to pay via transferwise and send the order afterwards.
For the next ones they'll ship the stuff along with the invoice and you pay when you receive it.

Hold on here. Are you telling me there are 20 pinball machines on Saint Martin Island? I’m there about 2-3 weeks a year. How have they survived the hurricanes?

I have not posted in quite awhile. Thought I would show how you squeeze 8 games in a 12x15’ room. I actually have room for a 9th. Knocked outed the wall behind the row of machines, will be expanding to 16 eventually.

Question for you gents. I found a Prospector in pretty good shape. Cab 6/10, pf 7.5/10 but brand new bg still wrapped. Guy wants a little over $750.
Yes, even 5 years ago I would've laughed at this price but today's market is not that anymore.
What say you o wise ones?

Looks good. New BG to boot! If it’s on your list and you want it, buy it for $750. I have not had a good deal in two years. Paid a grand and $1,300 for my last two because I wanted them.

Nice restore. Looks great! I have Blue Note sample #3.

When I was at the PHF in Vegas a few years back. My goal was to play every EM in there once. Blue Note stopped me in my tracks and I refused to leave the machine until I hit 200k. Fun game that demands you play another. The only problem with Gottlieb games of this era are those horrible spinners.

Just finished Jive Time refurb. Wasn't a total wreck, but needed a lot of love. Playfield before pic, cabinet was about as bad, and after pics. I know not a loved game, but cool late 60's (yes I know it's a 1970 game) artwork, if you like orange.

Just got done doing a full restoration on this ‘64 Wing Ding AAB for a friend. Big, grateful thank you to O-din for providing me with the replacement chrome flippers. Paint job done by previous owner needs to be addressed in the future, (white latex with vinyl stickers used for design, missing silver fleck) but is passable for now. Machine was full of hacks, guy tried to retrofit Gottlieb flippers for Williams. Led to shafts binding up and torching the coil, tilt ball rollover switches used as flipper switches, loose post had long wood screws through them that resulted in breaking the neutral wire running around and under the playfield & on & on….

Quoted from pevo: You could always mask off everything but the base white ...then flake, splatter or which ever is appropriate...the grayish silver.

That is exactly our plan. My friend was just excited to finally play it since I have had it since October.

#13707 77 days ago
Quoted from SilverLiningMan:

That is an absolute beauty. Is that the original backglass or did you get one made?

Original glass triple thicked and touched up, although I would rate it a 7-1/2 before I started. It was in really nice shape. You can see some of the touch up on above the 5 & 6. The worst part would be the girl on the bottom right. She was missing her left eye and eyebrow.
