I will add that I am taking quite a liking to Frontiersman too. Pop..pop..pop.......

Maybe you'll tire of it soon...

Check with Pacak. He has World Champ. Not sure about the others.

Looking good!
I just played several games on my friend's Strange World the other night - fun game.
Before and after...garage gameroom retrofit update. It's not 100% complete and the line up might change in the future, but i don't feel cramped in anymore and i did get to add to more pins to my collection.

Played a Bowling Queen for the first time at Pintastic this weekend. It's a huge nostalgia thing for me. I played my first pin right about the time that came out--and at a bowling alley, no less. I didn't have enough cash on had for a second pin (I did buy a Gottlieb Atlantis just before), so I had to let it go. I'd love to pick up a nice one (this one had a near perfect playfield) down the road. So, if anyone, especially anyone in my neck of the woods, wants to sell...
Quoted from DirtFlipper:Hey, how'd this Bally get in here?

oh there goes the neighorhood...
Quoted from hoov:A Bally? And I supposed someone dropped it off at your doorstep right?
Why yes - yes they did!
Quoted from goldenboy232:What's the other one?
The other four player I have left is Bally Air Aces. It has gaping outlanes so it has earned it's keep. It runs on 50 volts so it plays pretty fast and snappy too.
Quoted from DirtFlipper:Maybe you'll tire of it soon...
Frontiersman? We may both be old men by then, but I will keep you in mind.
Quoted from Vic_Camp:but i don't feel cramped in anymore and i did get to add to more pins to my collection.
Hey Vic, have you every sat and contemplated buying a larger home with a large space for your amazing collection of EM pins? By the photos I have seen over the past few years I really mean amazing.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Not mine but got a shock seeing 2 woodrails in an episode of Friends! 4 Belles and Roto Pool.

Ahh Hollywood. They always put EMs in when they want to have a pinball prop. When is the last time you saw a woodie on route? Don't get me wrong, it happens but you'll see 1000 to one modern pins. I sold a restored Spin Wheel to a local bar owner. They're loving it.
Quoted from pins4life33:Just bought this yesterday, pretty pumped... Playfield in solid shape, backglass is perfect, just needs some cleaning and will be good to go... Anyone know if they do stencils for this title would be nice to restore the cabinet to collectors shape...

That cabinet paint on the face of the head looks nice. I just do touch-ups to the cabinet paint so you maintain in the patina. Sometimes new cabinet paint and a 40 year old playfield and backglass look out of place. JMHO - your game - it looks really nice!

Looks like that might already be in collector's shape. Collectors like nice original.
Quoted from pins4life33:Just bought this yesterday, pretty pumped...
The smudge prints from hands and nose on your windows in your game room, will not be mine.
Great pick up. I can't wait to play it. Have Fun!
Okay, great advice, this is really my first EM in my collection, I am completely restoring a Centaur right now so I figure if I had a stencil kit would just do this at the same time, but if you guys like keeping it original is more important then will see what can be done to to touch it up. The machine is in super shape for its age can't wait to play it once I give it a good clean...

Ya figured if anyone would appreciate this machine it would have been you, lol... Thanks should be in the house and good to go by the weekend!!!

For me, Wizard! has the best art, and spinner, in the business. I don't know if there has ever been a study, but I would think that spinner makes as many, or more, revolutions on a direct hit then any other em.
I don't remember ever seeing it on location as a kid. I think I played it once or twice at a show but can't be sure. it looked like it had potential through all the dirt. I will clean it up and take it for a spin! if I don't like it I am sure I can find it a home.
Vic I will post some before pics. will not get to the after pics until I am finished with hit the deck
I haven't done a 4 player I quite some time and even longer doing a bally, it will be a nice change of pace.
I've never seen or played a Capersville, but it does look like a neat layout with lots of features. I bet that one will clean up nicely. Nice Score! It won't be long before rat starts drooling.
Quoted from o-din:I've never seen or played a Capersville, but it does look like a neat layout with lots of features.
I remember playing one as a kid because of the Zipper Flippers (which I was indifferent about) and from what I remember it was OK with the Multiball feature but nothing that I remember like saying" Oh Wow" about it. Guess I just need to play it again.
Ken
It is a multiplayer with two inch flippers. Those are what I am looking for lately. We love to compete!
capersville it's an awesome game..i bought one that arrived in a container from germany (back to australia) a few years ago..doesn't look much but will never leave my collection..oh and my friend and i doing the video we had a fair few beers while shooting the vid.
I remember playing this game back in the late 1960's on the boardwalk down the Jersey shore. The zipper flippers featured attracted me to drop some coin into the slot and try a game. The ball didn't didn't stay in play much and was not easy to make the shots you needed to win some replays either or win a game by score. Hard to compete against the machine when it isn't player friendly.Maybe leveling the game to the players advantage might help with keeping the ball in play more and therefore getting to make some of the extra features this game has to offer.
How many bells are in this game?
Thanks for the pic's.
Wow. Long thread start to finish. Took me about a week total. You guys do great shares, I cannot add though (wish I could). Still do not have my first game; people are not getting back to me. Not talking about anyone posting in this thread, you all have been great.
Let's hope my next post is to share my new game!
In limbo pending reply for additional info from the seller. Same on several other (seemingly) great machines. It's summer, so I know priorities are different but I'm as anxious as any of us would be to get my first and start banging away at it! I recognize that impatience as a bad sign though. I'm backing off the hobby a bit, going back to another to keep busy and let the sellers come back to me on their clock. Do not want to buy 'something' just to buy. And then be unhappy.
Also when you don't personally know any of the other parties (and they are freight distance away), it's hard to separate busy schedules from 'something may be wrong here' scenarios. Ask too many good direct questions, ask for too many good pictures, and the bad guys go silent. So who knows?
Almost made an offer this morning for a local Sinbad SS that is in nicer player condition. I have not seen it in person yet but it's a short drive. Well I knew that was bad, and stopped my self from setting up the visit. I want my first to be collector quality Gottlieb 3" bat AAB. That Sinbad would have been settling due to impatience.

Yep, Great find. Looks so nice BTW. No flipper drag marks, no planking. Can't wait to play it again. Let us know when you roll over the score. Hopefully you will not do that in the next week.

Keep in mind more than one game will be inevitable once you get the first one. So I wouldn't let the fact that the Sinbad doesn't match exactly the criteria you set for the first game get in the way. If the price and condition and accessibility are acceptable, go for it. If space or funds are an issue then that's a different story.
One is never enough.

Space. I do not have room for even one game. But that I will make that work. Somehow. More than one would impact how I make my living, giving up space means giving up income (a long story there). It's one game, and if a mistake it made it must be sold before being replaced. So I'm trying to not make a mistake. FWIW, Sinbad was not cheap at $800 either.
Quoted from gottem:FWIW, Sinbad was not cheap at $800 either.
My buddy paid $1000.00 + shipping for a super nice SS one with new boards.
Ken
This Sinbad is definitely player quality, but a nicer one. Your buddy's sounds cool, pics? Does he enjoy playing it? I'm a little iffy on that, based on a few plays at Pintastic, based on YouTube. It's okay but not super-awesome, or maybe I didn't play it enough? Meanwhile Capt. Card looks like a whole lotta fun that doesn't ever end!
Quoted from gottem:Your buddy's sounds cool, pics?
Sorry no pics and he does not hang on Pinside. It's an OK game to me as I am not a big fan of suicide flippers but that is just a preference, but if a super nice EM one came my way for cheap I would snap it up.
Ken
Quoted from o-din:I'll take it! Before rat gets his sweaty mits on it.
Capersville is very, very high on my list right now for games I want in my collection. I only have multiplayer 60's Gottlieb machines as trade bait.
