Dan,
Man, you nailed it with that shiny bell!
Quoted from mtbpinball:My 3 current and a past couple. Great games. Had fun with all of them. I allways liked drop target games. Some had a good game and others great artwork.

About 3 weeks ago I sat there looking at the bell. It was the only thing left to restore on the game. I am very happy with how it turned out.
Quoted from poppapin:Hmm, that King Pin looks familiar!!
It should! Its in your collection.
Quoted from Rat_Tomago:I won 1st place for best 60's game at the Texas Pinball Festival.
Congratulations - that was a beautiful example of the game. Glad I got to play a few games on it.
Quoted from Rat_Tomago:My 1967 Gottlieb Surf Side won two runner up ribbons at the Texas Pinball Festival. It received Runner up for "Best 60's" game and runner up for "Best Original" game. I absolutely love this game and the artwork.

With those ribbons it seems an excellent time to onsell Rat-how much??
Damn dude! I know where to send all my future 1976-1980's Gottlieb doors to in the future! You should start a side business.
Quoted from wayner:With those ribbons it seems an excellent time to onsell Rat-how much??

That door is so nice it would make me upgrade the rest of my game just so it would fit in with the door!

Yellow disc brown bar
White disc white bar.
Is that a random orbital? (like for polishing a car?) Looks great.
Quoted from MikeO:Kind of stuck in a rut right now.
No wonder I have not seen any ACD's for sale in a while.
Glad I got mine before you did!

can anyone say HORDER!
I guessing one of those is one I sent you...
Wow dude 3 ACDs? Talk about mixing and matching to make one perfect game. Now find me three 1964 Gottlieb Big Top heads so I can find the perfect back glass without using bgresto.
Quoted from boilerman:can anyone say HORDER!
I guessing one of those is one I sent you...
Yes, one of those is the cabinet you sent me.
I actually had accumulated two ACD's. One with a rough head and backglass and another with a great cabinet. The plan was to make the best of two into one. Then a third ACD showed up in exceptional condition. The third will be my keeper with only 29k plays on the meter. The best of the original two are just now getting play tested before it ships off to a collector in the northwest.
The funny part of the story is the third game which will be my keeper came with strings attached. I had to also buy his Asteroids upright video, a jukebox, a cheesy worn out foosball table, and a stop light. It took almost a year to get the deal consummated because he was asking way to much for the package deal and took that long for us to agree on price. And I still paid a premium for the ACD.

Totally worth it though - congrats!

Agree. I picked up an ACD last fall and dropped it off at Boilerman's place for a refurb & cabinet repair/paint. I've been playing it constantly since I picked it back up a month ago. What a great pin and what great work Boilerman does!!
Its a good game. I am glad I had enthusiasm 2 years ago about a game that flew under the radar. Sometimes like today I wish I had my ACD to play. I can always go to Ken's place when I have the urge for 70's machines.
Yeah, it's a rarely regretted purchase and usually a much mourned loss. I was amazed/stoked when I was offered a reasonable example.
Here's a new and better video of Surf Side. In this video I explain all the rules and play a one handed game.

Very enjoyable to watch Rat thks for sharing. A lovely machine which plays fast and has great presence. It would in my view be a pity if you chose to redo the cabinet-it looks great in original trim. For a multiplayer I was surprised when you shared that the bonus is not reset after each player-that sounds a good feature.
Quoted from Rat_Tomago:play a one handed game.
Hopefully Santa will bring you a tri-pod. So we can also admire your playing abilities.
Other than that thanks for the vid.
Quoted from Pinbee:Not as rare as Adam's JP, but here's today's country auction special. Virtually no wear on the playfield, just lots of dirt. Lower right plastic test cleaned well, so things look promising.image.jpg (Click image to enlarge)image.jpg (Click image to enlarge)image.jpg (Click image to enlarge)
This is a fun game. Good luck. I like that there are 2 ways to win. By score or home runs.
