Quoted from DirtFlipper:Hard to pass them up when they're that clean - even when they're a Team One.
(But wow - super nice!)
It is a great player! the art is kinda lacking but the game play makes up for that 10 fold.
it is one of the cleanest games I have ever picked up.
Quoted from boilerman:took a team one in a trade today. it looks like it was not on route very long if ever. there is no ball arch wear and it is super clean.
It also had the ball lane metal guides20140222_195033.jpg 238 KB

Looks a real beauty.
If I could get past the artwork, would like it as it is AAB of Abra Ca Dabra so it must be a good game!

"Team One" is a title that is often found in super clean condition. I owned a super cherry one for about 15 minutes.
It was at the York, PA show a couple of years ago. There was a Williams "Palisades" woodrail in the flea market area that I had my eye on, but the seller wanted a little more for it than I wanted to spend. I saw the "Team One" for sale inside the building, and just grabbed it in time as someone else was eyeing it as well. I brought it out to my van and then went out to the flea market area and asked the guy with the Williams woodie if he would be interested in a trade. At first he said no, but I convinced him to at least come and take a look at the "Team One" I was offering. I knew that once he agreed to come and give it a look, he would take it as soon as he saw how cherry mint it was. That's exactly what happened, and so I came away with the "Palisades" I wanted at a much more reasonable cost to me.
Quoted from hoov:I usually find if I clean (or replace if necessary) all the flipper parts and adjust both cabinet and EOS switches (or replace) and check the ohms of the 5194 coil I don't need orange or yellow dot coils. You can also high-tap the game if needed.
I tried an orange-dot once on a Drop a Card and it played abnormally fast for me - not the same as on location.
Of course this is just my opinion - if it works for you and you like it fast and furious that's great.
I picked up a nice surfer this weekend. Overall really nice clean game with a near mint backglass. Open to trades / offers for Wedgeheads, or EM arcade games. Cash also works

That's a nicer Surfer than the one I just picked up yesterday. I'm going to try to upgrade the backglass on mine.
Lets get back on track. I would like to see more pictures of pins. Bruce do you have pics of those 3 pins you got. Card Whiz, Abra-Ca-Dabra and Volley?
I will have pics of Hurdy Gurdy # 2, and pics of a MINT Blue chip i just picked up maybe later tonight, they are still in the truck... Ugghhhhhh !
And some pics of the HG#1, with the PF all done hopefully later as well.
any one here ever play Gtb Gemini ?
I got to play one today and WOW it was a great player.

Thought I'd join the group and share pics of my 1959 HUO Universe. Besides being HUO, what's great to me is the machine and I are the exact (within two weeks) same age

I have owned and played the game. It is a decent player. Definitely better than some of the 70's multiplayer Gottlieb EM's.
I've actually owned two of them. I sold mine last year when I found out how much I could get for it.
Here are some pictures of it.

Is this the same game that Jeff in Indy owned previously?
Very nice game.
What I find interesting is how solid even the 50's games play in HUO condition over what the routed versions play like. The operators really got their money out of them on route in the day.

Hey Tim,
Long time. It's good to hear from you. I'm also glad to see you get into the EM games. It's nice that there is something new to experience.
I like your handle - DryHeat - very appropriate for later in the year. I could live with a little dry heat right now. They are predicting 12"+/- of snow this weekend and highs of 20 where we should be seeing highs of 50.

Yeah, I've been getting into EM's a lot lately, also have a really nice Spirit of 76 that I play daily. So many games, so little room.
Good talking to you Mike

What's the story on finding all the NOS stuff for it? That's gotta be unique.
Quoted from Garrett:That's stunning DryHeat!
Quoted from way2wyrd:That Universe is absolutely beautiful.

Thanks guys.

Don Murphy had the playfield, plastics, and instruction cards. It was probably 8-9 years ago. Surprisingly some of the playfields were readily available. I got his last Gemini Playfield. The right timing I guess. I believe he had Golden Arrow and Hit the Deck playfields also that I passed on.
The backglass came from Mayfair. It was not perfect but was worlds better than what came in the game.
I was only on the tail end of the last of some of the NOS parts.

mike that was a really nice Gemini
I would lie to find one that nice, I am sure you got a good price for it.
Wow, amazing to see a woodrail that clean and nice. I sold a HUO Niagara to a woodrail collector years back. The Gottlieb factory had accidently burned a small part of the right side cabinet and rather than sell it, gave it to an employee. I got it from a guy who got it from a guy. You know how that goes. It was a time capsule, except for the burn mark, probably as nice as this machine.
Wow, guys. Both the Gemini and Universe are stunning. Been pouring over both sets of pics for a while now. Thanks for sharing!
Sincerely,
Ryan Claytor

They are all running. Still have a cab swap on Hurdy to do. Blue Chip is in amazing condition. Although she might have to go such SUCKS as I really like it. Cause I have an Ice Show coming an I need the room. My HLA is a blast to play and HG is an amazing game I love it. And the PF is like new and came out beautifully. image-3.jpgimage-87.jpgimage-865.jpg
yeah i know... Blue chip is super snappy though, and just simple plain fun a flipper style player and not so much of a nudger..
rippin the spinners is a blast...
But Ice Show is gonna be a great addition, a total nudger, and a speedy game to boot with the 5 pops.. i am really looking forward to it !
I looked up on IPDB, and it shows 400 IT versions as far as production but no # on the US version of the add-a-ball..
anyone have any idea how many US ones were produced ?

Hmm, that's interesting. Larry Bieza's old pinball price guides show Ice Review production as 2,050 and Ice Show as 2,000.
Then there ya go.. that sounds about right to me.
As my Card Trix and flip a card are very close in production as well...
Thanks Dirt !
That Hurdy Gurdy playfeild is a beaut! Never took notice of it before, or realized it was so different from Central Park. Love those huge illustrated people and how Parker transforms the space into one cohesive environment.
Thanks for sharing, Gerry!

Your Jumping Jack looks nice from what I can see. One of the better multi-players because of the resetting drop targets. And you can't beat the well-endowed girls on the backglass. Your backglass looks pretty good from what I can see. The playfields all seem to have that wear by the upper kick-out holes. A new set of drop targets from PBR would make it look real nice.
Scotty78 -
JJ is a great game! Really like how you can adjust the frequency of 'Free Game' vs. 'Shoot Again' for dropping all the targets.
Just a thought for when you get it back..... When I had my JITB, I added bridge rectifiers to the pops so that they were super-snappy, made for some awesome split second flipper saves!
Thanks guys. The back glass was touched up slightly before I got it, I sealed it when I first received it years ago, seems to have held up pretty well, of course being in a stable climate hasn't hurt either. Now that new drop targets are available I will def replace them when I get it back. Funny story behind that broken drop target. I had JUST replaced a broken one with a NOS one that came with the machine. Put playfield down, started a game. A relay stuck. I shut it off, and lifted the playfield. That ball snapped another target off before I even knew what happened. DOH! I was young and in a hurry lol. I will look into that bridge rectifier mod heatwave, that sounds pretty cool.
It has significant wear at the kick out holes, and was always planked. I'll try to save the playfield best I can, and hope a repop playfield comes to fruition for this machine. Gottlieb was king in '74 when this baby rolled off the line!

Jumping Jack came out in May of 1973 5 months before I was born. Great machine! Thank you for sharing.
Quoted from MikeO:Was at a friend's house tonight putting a new plastic set in his Black Knight. His real love is EM's. He humored me letting me take a couple of pictures.
Not in the pictures are another handful of 60's wedgeheads - Central Park, Sing Along, and Ice Revue.
Mike O.
Super cool setup your friend has Mike.
Love the selection of EM pins including Black Knight.
Looks like it was a fun evening.
