my new 2001 glass should be here this week.... I have been looking for a new glass for my 2001 for years. I am glad there are people like ron that take the time and money to produce glass.

#2102 5 years ago
Quoted from Arcade:

Just got our Gottlieb 2001 reproduction backglass in the mail today.
Mr. Webb has done it to perfection.
Took a shot of it in a window and newly placed in our Gottlieb wedgehead section.

Nice repro!! My Magnotron needs one. ><

And 2001 is a very fun machine, a nice fair challenge to knock down all of those drops.

#2103 5 years ago
Quoted from Rat_Tomago:

Please at least bring 2001 to the Texas Pinball Festival. I have not played a 2001 and would like to.

Combination of nudging and good shooting along with a little luck. Good game - one of the few 2" games with drops.

#2104 5 years ago

I asked Ron Webb if he was going to do a Gottlieb "Sure Shot" Backglass and he said not at this time but it seemed like I caught his interest. If a few more people mentioned this to him it could become a reality.

you might want to ask shay, he looks to be doing a few more 70's title

I have emailed Shay 3 different times, all with different questions and all with no response. I'm done asking him for anything.

Shay is a very busy person and I just keep e-mailing him - he'll eventually get back to you. I understand your position though Ken.

Here is some pictures of my 1972 Chicago Coin "Casino".

This game is super fast and fun to play, actually it's a blast!

The game is now working 100% and is cosmetically finished except for having to repaint the Legs and Coin Door the original Charcoal Grey rather the the later Light Grey which will get done this Spring.

A lot of work put into this one but I think it paid off big time.

Cabinet 8.0 - Playfield 9.0 - Backglass 8.5.

Enjoy!

Thanks Guys!

The Spinning Discs are fast. It's cool when the Ball dances on one then transfers to the other sometimes to continue the dance before launching off the pad into an unknown direction. Left Disc spins right and Right Disc spins left. Between the 2 Discs, 2 Slingshots, and 3 Pop Bumpers, the ball flies. The Pop Bumpers fire like machine guns.

The one thing I noticed with at least my Chicago Coin is that there is a Jones Plug that you can set for Normal Speed or Fast for juicing up the Playfield, so basically Normal or High Tap that you can easily switch back and forth rather than having to Solder/Unsolder wires to the Transformer. Too bad the other manufactures did not do this great feature as well.

Ken, it would be great if you could make a video of the gameplay. I thinks it's a very cool table design.

The closest thing I've played is a Bally Fireball with the single disc. I liked the spinning disc addition to the table and multi-ball, but otherwise not a fan of this game. The artwork is very cool on the Fireball but overall, just not a fan especially for the price it currently commands.

But that CC Casino looks like a lot of fun at a great price point. And you did a great job!

On my list of things to buy, a video camera. Then I can post post lots of Youtube videos of my different pinball machines in action. It will happen later this year, most likely after we move.

Before i started collecting pins, i was into EM arcade games. I sold my collection, a while back, but always regretted selling my Whiry bird. I recently found another. I won't be selling this one anytime soon. Challenging game to play, and it just looks cool.image-14.jpg

Cool game. I remember playing that one as a kid.

If the price was right I would consider it but they tend to be pricey.

#2124 5 years ago

You're right! What a neat lookin' machine. Never played one but would love to.

#2125 5 years ago

Never played Whirly Bird arcade game.
But I certainly went through a ton of Verti Birds at my house.

#2126 5 years ago

These are all long gone, but figured if show off my old EM Arcade collection. Most of these are very rare. I lived having them, but keeping them running and finding parts was a full time job.

And a few more from the archive. I bought 28 machines from an arcade that closed in 1976. Most of the machines were rough, but a few were really nice rare games.

I had the Williams 10 pins fully restored. It took 2 years. When I finally got It back, inset it up in my living room. Another collector came to look at a pinball machine and "had to have it" . Lets just say he made me an offer that was too good to pass up. I Love that machine though.

#2132 5 years ago

Here are mine. Just got the Playball unit in my office. Just got Mystic Marvel working and its now waiting on new rubber and cleaning.

I bet you wouldn't turn down another truckload like that one. Thanks for sharing.

Pinball Resource has replacement wood side rails available for your Mystic Marvel (if they're gone, and not just temporarily removed).

I have one and mu uncle who is a woodworker made another to match. I am in the process of making the wooden lockdown bar right as we speak. Haven't seen one of those out there. But all you guys probably know where to go. Im still a newbie to this world.

#2137 5 years ago

This one is done and sold to a fellow Pinsider.

In the middle of Flying Carpet now - should be done in a few more days. Nice playfield, decent cabinet, and backglass has been taped w/packing tape and touched up (hard to find a nice backglass on this era of game).

Thanks. Can't think of a better way to spend these cold winter months than fixing up these old beauties.

Hoov that is crazy nice! Congrats whoever bought it!

#2142 5 years ago

I tried to buy an El Dorado off Ebay that was listed for $2000.00 during Christmas and made an offer but I guess it was not good enough for them. The offer was substantial too. As far as I know he never sold it.

Finally got caught up again on this thread. I have to say that I have boundless admiration for the work a lot of you guys do. It is way beyond me, but I at least know enough to be deeply impressed. Really great stuff!

I feel the same way about guys who repair SS boards. The stuff those guys talk about and repair amazes me. One of these days I may take an interest in it, but for now there are just too many more EM's I want to buy.
