Quoted from Darcy:

As in none. I thought you had a Gottlieb pin?

I do, but most of the items on your list can be found on other makes like Bally and Williams, so you really don't need a Gottlieb to get most of the features you listed.

Hey O-Din. Zero. As in none. I thought you had a Gottlieb pin?

Ummm. He used to. It will be in transit to my house next week.

Quoted from o-din:

OK, thanks, I will edit the question.

#1704 5 years ago

You're not getting them all! But if I can find any more Williams as nice as Big Daddy, then they might become expendable.

When Dan shows up, and he is in a 5 ton truck, be prepared. If it is just a Econoline you should be fine.

Dan, did your heart just grow 3 sizes. Now that is the spirit of Christmas.

#1711 5 years ago

I suppose I can throw in a player quality Barb Wire as well.

I am done with my collector's quality Silverball Mania as well.

#1712 5 years ago

Hello Dan. You could also throw in one of these Bilz Pinball. It is fully mechanical, and no tilt.DSCN0383.JPG

Maybe use an American $20 bill instead.

I've already got one. HUO!

Yeah... that's lowed played. Might have been on route a very short time. It's going to be hard to ever find a nicer one than that one.

Quoted from Vic_Camp:

This pin has no wear, or marks were the cash box sits. When I first saw it I noticed the pry marks on the door trim. Why would a HUO pin have pry marks. It could of been on route but maybe not more than few months.

I went to look at a Heat Wave that needed cabinet work. The Strange World was stacked up in the corner, so I paid more for a better quality pin.

Not to burst your bubble but 60,000+ plays is a well maintained route game in my book. The condition on the coin inserts and coin door would be your best indicator along with the play meter. Unless they changed the play meter out at some time but then why would you do that to a HUO game.

It's an exceptional example, HUO or not.

Just picked up a nice Target Alpha- (49,000 plays) should clean up well- I'll post progress in another post- but I just wanted to share my latest EM aquisition

#1727 5 years ago

Forgot to mention this one! HUO with less than 3000 plays!!!

#1728 5 years ago

Nice looking T.A. slawnski

#1729 5 years ago

Thank you HELLODEADCITY! This guy has 1 more he is selling in the same condition. His story is that he bought out the widow of an arcade owner who had them in storage for years- the last city sticker is from 1977 or 78 ( don't remmeber off hand)- so I'm guessing it was played for a couple years in his arcade and retired to his warehouse. The warehouse was climate controlled which added to the preservation of the BG - This guy hauled them away 10 plus years ago and stored them at his place. I paid a bit more that I was expecting to pay but when I saw the shape of the machine I caved- can't wait to bget it cleaned up and in the game room! Might go back for the second one if all goes well....

Looks good it should clean up very nicely. You have to like the Drop Targets to really enjoy the play of this pin.
With 7285 Target Alphas made, there are still many out there.

#1731 5 years ago

MikeO - like Darcy i too have a strange world - mine also has about 64,000 plays but never left the first owners home .. until i found it

thats alot of pinball in the basement over 40 years !!!

cheers, Ron

Not a great pic, but here's my first EM resurrection- Card Whiz!

Lots of firsts with this one:
-first time cleaning score reels and stepper units
-first time reading and following a schematic for troubleshooting
-first time adjusting AS relays and AX relays (ugh.)
-first time fixing/replacing a Gottlieb drop target bank.

After a ball advance issue that took a solid week to track down (stupid AX relay...), she now works 100% and plays awesome. Such a good game.

#1733 5 years ago

That's a sweet looking EM and fits in nicely next to the IJ.
Thanks for the view.

Yeah, the AX and BX can be a real PITA. We've all been there.

But it's a great sense of satisfaction when you get them running. Well done and enjoy a very good EM title.

Nice Card Whiz! I love my Card Whiz as well!

I'd love to get a Card Whiz - one came up here in Denver on CL a few months back, but someone beat me to it.

Nice restore Dirt. Someone is going to get a nice Atlantis for their game room. You said you're keeping one and selling one right? Is this the one you're going to put up for sale?

Yes Nice Games - great photos

One will be a keeper, one will find a new home. I think the other one will be the keeper, but I'll wait until it's done so I can do a better comparison. It will be a close call.

I'm in no hurry.

A huge thanks goes to Pinside member Underspin!

I inquired if anyone had an Aztec to sell in April of 2013. I had played this pin at the Michigan Pinball Expo the last couple of years and really liked the table design and speed with the 24VDC flippers, bumpers and kickers.

Underspin was kind enough to offer a machine he had in queue for repair at an excellent price. I had some other financial obligations and finally got the pin on December 28th.

Never repaired a Williams machine before and was pleasantly surprised. They are similar to Bally but more robust, if that makes any sense.

Mechanically the game is very sound and all previous work Underspin had done was appreciated as it took me very little time to find the last few issues to get it running 100%.

I don't have a good video camera but will try to post a video as the Aztec plays very fast. The only faster EM table I've played is the Gottlieb Cleopatra.

Thanks again Underspin!

If you can play it, and it all works, it certainly is not 'crappy'. I have played pins with no backglass. Play it, have fun with it.
