Quoted from Vic_Camp:

I had the chronological order perfect at one time, but now that i fell of the wagon and bought some new games recently a few wedgie have fallen out of order . I gave up playing pool once a week on Tuesday's after playing for almost 35 years straight a month agao because i just wanted to come home and do nothing after working at my real job all day.
I am secretly working on a completed plan that should get me the second level family room location making it the 4th gameroom i'll have in the house.
This new addition gameroom will be between my garage gameroom and basement gameroom where my Top Card stands proudly at the present time. If i get this space i think i can squeeze another 5 wedgeheads or ?
Then and only then will i consider a large shuffle of pins to get things back in order chronological again if i end up with the new space.

Haha Secret plan, eh?

Let me know if you are ever in town. You are welcome to play my small collection of 4 machines. I will have a 5th title shortly and a 6th by March.

Got home from work to find a Pinball Resource box at my door.
Got a couple of pop bumper rings, springs, and light sockets.
New coil for my Hot Tip pop bumper.
Shiny new red start buttons for my Gottlieb 2001 and Flip a Card.
Some new coin stickers and plastics for my Gottliebs as well as a new ball in play card.
And of course some shiny new caster feet.

Big Deal just showed up. Needs some help in the player unit and some serious maintenance on the playfield:

Quoted from BenetBoy78:

The Frontiersman and Daisy May are unmatched and gave the players the same feeling in 1954-56 as AC/DC does today. Pinball.....it's timeless.

I had the pleasure of playing a very nice "Frontiersman" (courtesy of Harry I ) at the last York show. Great playing game with very interesting strategy. Great backglass too.

Fun game and plays very fast. I owned one briefly a while back. I got it in a package deal with a Gottlieb "Cow-Poke". Cleaned up and shopped the "Big Deal" (it came out great!) and sold it to my Dad's neighbor.
I believe he still has it. Just about paid for the whole deal so I ended up getting the "Cow-Poke" nearly for free!

Quoted from Arcade:

Just picked up a Flip a Card this past week.
Backglass is 99% perfect.
The rest of the game is horrible. But we will get it in better shape soon.

Years ago, I got a ratty "FAC" off eBay. This one also had a very nice backglass but was a wreck otherwise. The playfield was much worse than yours, and the cabinet had a horrible brushed on attempt at the original design.
Today it stands among the many other superb pins at the Silverball Museum in Asbury Park, NJ. Oddly though, the backglass currently in the game is not the original one. I kept that glass, and put another decent one in it's place.
After spending many hours bringing it back to life and making it more than presentable, it pained me to sell it, but at the time I was unemployed and needed cash to pay the mortgage! If it were today (thank God), I would have never sold it! The last time I was there, it was still probably the best playing game he has there!

I have one I couldn't give away. Took it to the last 2 York shows and the Atown show in the free play area. Sits in my garage broken down. No room in my game room. Just going to the shows with it these days. image-327.jpgimage-49.jpgimage-43.jpg

Backglass has some touch up. Looks ok, definitely not perfect. Playfield is nice. Cabinet shows its age, but is structurely sound.

Cool game I've never seen. Backglass animation with 8 animals popping up - going through any of the 6 rollovers or 2 gobble holes will knock down an animal in the backglass. Getting all down will light special.

Here's the IPDB link: http://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?name=jungle&mfgid=413&yr=1960&searchtype=advanced

Were you with your wife or girlfriend? I think I remember your "FAC" at Allentown, but didn't think you were selling it. My brother bought the "Card Trix" from the guy who had two "FAC"s and a "CT".

Nice. And your slingshot plastics still show some blue color in them. Mine are practically black. lol.
Have not had much time to work on our Flip a Card recently. Perhaps this weekend.

Not feeling the mid-century modern styling? I thought it was sort of odd too at first. It really grew on me though. I have two 1960s Williams next to each other. One's a wood rail and one is the mod cabinet. It's such an interesting contrast for two machines from the same year. The mod cab is just such a bold design. It looks antiquated now but at the time it was space age. I think it would be a shame to convert. The shelf is a nice place to set your drink or a place for little kids to stand and play.

Too bad Spaceship from 1961 didn't have this cabinet. It would have tied in so perfectly.

Man I fell in love with the cabinet ! Is so different and retro . I can't wait to really get this project going but have so many that its going to have to wait for now .

Are the legs on that Williams Jungle game original? Pretty cool and very 1960's!

My recently almost finished Chicago Coin Hula Hula. I still need to take care of the instruction and score cards.

Nice! However, that shelf on the front has much better uses than holding Windex and other cleaners.

That cabinet is spectacular for a game that old. They must have used much better paint back then!

Just got our Flip a Card polished up and finally got the playfield lit up.
The inserts are still horrible, but the rest has cleaned up very nice.

Are the inserts sunken down? That is common with this game. I have an otherwise nice PF, but the inserts are really sunk down. So many to fix too! That's keeping me from doing the game.

Yes the inserts have very heavy cupping. Would be awesome if they did not have graphics on them.
We tried the UV car scratch hardener on one of them but it did not flow out of the pen very easily and took forever to harden, even under the UV light. It would cost a fortune in batteries and UV pens to do this entire machine anyway.
Surely there is a good way to pop these things out and put in new ones with graphics that will stay in place.
Does not sound like fun though.

Any ideas are welcome in out Flip a Card post over in the Tech EM section.
