WMS Jungle is a great playing and looking game.
Mine will never leave my collection.
Most WMS from 1958 to 1967 are great.

Quoted from AlexF:I currently have 21 setup. It's my second one. It's a good looking game and playing against the dealer is fun.
Yup, that's what I like about Top Hand which I recently went through.
After getting 3 of a kind, aiming for the Full House insures beating the
Dealer and getting a free ball after the ball drains..
Quoted from pinwiztom:WMS Jungle is a great playing and looking game.
I know I can't loose bringing Kick Off back in the game room,
but thought I'd try one I haven't played before. I'm thinking
Jungle might get the bit, and might have room for a 2nd.
I think maybe Big Strike I'll also go through and have set
up for at least a while..

I have a project Vagabond next in my queue.

Finished this one tonight.
crujones4life very cool. I’ve been wanting to play that machine. The spinner action looks fun.

Fum game for sure. I had the 2 player version Soccer previously.
Quoted from Darcy:It has been a year or two, fired up the Ladies. The vodka and beers made things easier.

Year or two? You got to give those ladies more love!
Here's some pics of a few that I've got... Old Chicago and Wizard got a new paint job, new CPR playfield in Wizard also. Hang Glider was sooo nice when I got it, it just needed to be cleaned and shopped.
Quoted from poppapin:Year or two? You got to give those ladies more love!
Have not had them all on, at once during that time. Sometimes I would play 1, while waiting for the laundry to finish.

Nice looking lineups!
Well, I cleared out and added a little more space, so I decide to welcome
the Jungle to the game room. One I'll be going through when the cooler
weather comes around.
I got this in with it being in an inverted Wedge Head, but the colors go
so well with the backglass and playfield, I mostly don't mind.
After years being in my storage barn, the backglass which had been sealed
with packaging tape, held the crackling paint up well. The person actually did
a good job. Pretty much wrinkle free, but I'll still be putting in the new repro
glass which has been in the spare bedroom waiting for installment..

Yup. That's the one I saw years ago in Allentown.
Quoted from jrpinball:Yup. That's the one I saw years ago in Allentown.
Yea, I figured it had to of been, and someone from up this way pick it up, and on the way back
(very most likely from the same show) stopped in to see if I wanted to make a trade.
I later found out where it originally came from, and after all these years, today's the first
time I opened the machine, and from personal experience, I knew how sketchy the guy could
be (from whom it came from), so I always was a bit concerned about the machine's mechanics,
but all seems to be okay..
It's missing one of the animated animals behind the backglass,, but it's there. Wrapped up and
taped inside the Light Box..
Quoted from Mopar:the backglass which had been sealed

The previous owner did a very neat job of applying the tape.
I recall being at a Pinball Expo years ago, (~30 yrs ago); a couple of gals, not true pinball fanatics, were in process of buying a NOS backglass from Mike Pacak. It was GTB Rock Star or maybe Blue Note and they were just buying it for wall art, but were balking at the purchase because it had some flaking and potential paint lift. So to close the sale Mike brings out some clear packing tape, but just willy nilly starts applying the tape to the back of the glass, in a random criss cross pattern . The gals seemed satisfied even though there were wrinkles in the application.
Quoted from pinwiztom:The previous owner did a very neat job of applying the tape.
If I had to guess, I'd say I had this machine stored 12 or 15 years in a Non climate controlled
environment, and the tape held up well. For this reason, when a glass does need to be sealed,
I no longer use spray. Instead, clear vinyl, and that's been working out pretty good..
Quoted from crujones4life:Been working on this one the past few days. Before and after Novus 2. This one was dirty!

Looking better. Is that from one of your recent hauls?
Quoted from bigguybbr:Looking better. Is that from one of your recent hauls?
Yeah picked this one up in a group of 6.

You looked like you were going to open your own EM arcade with those hauls
I just love working on these old pins and giving them new life. Getting new people into pinball. Most of the time I sell to 1st time pin owners. Good stuff!
Sweet Hearts is on of my faves. Classic EM. Fond memories of playing this game a lot when I was working in Angola, I had shipped this game to Africa when I was working in the oil fields over there for many years.
Well, a couple weeks ago, I was asked if I could use a Gold Rush, but
already having more machines than room to set them up, I had little
to no interest until I was sent a pic of the backglass. No Replay window.
I'm not sure how scarce these are, but no pics on IPDB. Once cleaned
up and gone through, I'll send Jay some pics.
btw: If anyone happens to have the schematics for the AAB version of
this machine, pls lmk. (T)
Finally gave my latest project a thread yesterday

It's probably heading out the door today to its new home.

Anyone know the true size of the playfield glass for Bally games from
the Mid-60s era. Hayride, Harvest, Gold Rush, ect. 21" x 41.5"?
Quoted from Mopar:Anyone know the true size of the playfield glass for Bally games from

My 50/50 seems to be 21" x 41 3/8". I can check the Loop the Loop also if you'd like.
Quoted from jaytrem:I can check the Loop the Loop also if you'd like.
Yeah, you' re right. Loop the Loop would most likely the same. I could have checked mine,
and if it's anywhere near 41.5", it would be the same as the single players.
The Hayride came with no playfield glass, and the Gold Rush came oversize with a
standard glass. I guesstimated 41.5", but if your 50/50 measures 41 3/8", that's the
size I'll be ordering a couple of..

Was real easy to measure since the 50/50 is hundred pieces right now.
Will you buy locally or online? I could use at least one. Please let me know if you find a decent online price.
Quoted from jaytrem:Will you buy locally or online?
For most of my backglasses, I buy sheets of 3/16" plexi, and cut to size, so I could take
that route for the playfield glasses, but I think I'll go with glass locally. If I happen to find
that size on line, I'll let you know..
I set up my 1964 Gottlieb Big Top tonight for the first time in over a year. The gameplay is better than I remembered—lots of action and interesting shots. The extra ball count unit is sticky so I’ve got to get that ironed out, but otherwise everything is clicking and clacking as it should.

A true Gottieb 2 Player AAB. Only 4 U.S. titles known.
Nice game!

Looks great! The extra ball count unit on my Pleasure Isle was real fussy too. Took a lot of micro-adjustments to get it consistent.

Thanks guys! The intricate logic and layout make it a fun single player AAB game but if any of you’re ever out west we can break out some brews and fire it up.
“It’s more fun to compete!”
A huge thank you to TractorDoc for the drop target stars and
mrm_4 for the lower board labels!
Gameplay is quite snappy.

Beautiful! Well done! My favorite EM by far.
Quoted from DanMarino:Garrett Can you remind me what type of light bulbs you use in your machines?
Comet 1SMD warm whites.
Sorry, frosted.
I like the twin head LED's as well. They have no lens but are nice for under the playfield or in the back glass to light it up a bit more when needed.
Quoted from crujones4life:My favorite EM by far.
We seem to have a growing group of that opinion. Good to see this great EM getting more of the appreciation it deserves!

With it all cleaned up and the playfield flat again it’s a blast to play. The long drop target shots snuggled in with the lone pop never gets old. Drops that always reset is a bonus. Lightning all three horse shoes isn’t easy either.
Typical Williams spinner and always so satisfying when you really nail it.
Captive ball shot is risky if you miss it.
Pretty solid game and just plain fun to play.
I’ll try to get a video up soon.
