Thanks. New inserts and cabinet touch ups are next. When I did the playfield re-paint/touch up I had to go with a darker blue than the original color to help hide the imperfections. Same with the darker gel stain in the natural wood areas.
Quoted from BubbaK:Sea_Wolf - WOW - I see you were the right person for that machine. I can't believe how you turned that mouse turd around to look that good in a relatively short amount of time. Nice job. What did you do with the cabinet?
Thanks Ken. I still have work to do on the cabinet but I did replace the bottom plywood. Glad to give it a good home. As I mentioned above, big thanks to you and Larry (@damoib). He helped get me through multiple gameplay issues.

Very cool. Doubt I’ll ever see one of these in person. I love unusual things. Is Spooksville any fun to play? I can’t tell how much there is to do as far as shots or targets to aim for.

Yeah it's pretty damn cool and fun.
Quoted from DanMarino:Is Spooksville any fun to play?
It is more fun if you put roller casters on the bottom of all the legs,
so you can really shake the heck out of it.
Shake , rattle and roll!
Very important to shake at the right moment as the ball is coming out
of the 3 KOHole middle alley or it might be STDM thru the flippers.

Three months or less.
It’s so worth it DanMarino. From your videos and also owning a Time Zone you tune a pin in exactly as they should run, hot and fast. Get rid of the cupped inserts and EM’s scream with ball speed AND accuracy.
And the pin is good for another 50 years
Quoted from Sea_Wolf:A lot of work
Woah… I can’t believe you were able to pull that off. I saw that game in person and it was absolutely thrashed.
I’ve been looking for a LH for years, saw the listing, paid over the phone and drove a stupid distance to get it. When I got there I immediately realized the guy had not posted pictures showing the actual condition of the game. It was an auction house and I had paid with a CC, so I told the guy he could refund my money (sans $100) or I’d immediately file a chargeback on the full payment. Man was I pissed.. but I was happy to pay $100 to not have to put that thing in my car.
Seriously, commendable work.

I appreciate the encouragement! Hopefully in January or February of 2023 I'll get my son-in-law's Space Mission over to my basement so I can begin working on it. I'm pretty sure he just wants to get it cleaned up and working. So I doubt that one will get a clear coat applied, but I'll ask him if he wants me to do that. His machine is pretty gross. At some point in time, someone sprayed WD-40 all over every mechanism. Ugh.

I appreciate the compliment. I do enjoy getting these pinball machines up and running. I need to tear down my Fireball and add some more layers of clear to the playfield. It got to a point where I just wanted to play the thing. I sprayed a bunch of clear, but it has some problems. So I'll go at it again at some point in time.
I would also like to preserve my El Dorado playfield, so I will likely clear that at some point. I like how mrm_4 clears his motor/relay boards, so I also want to give that a try.
My Bally Time Zone is pretty fun and since I got it for $200 I don't mind messing with it. It might be the next one to get torn down and cleared. I'm going to add some music to it for sure and do that motor/relay board.
So I'll give it a go eventually. Most of my winter I'll be putting up some walls and a door in our unfinished side of the basement to create a pinball room.
With the cost of pinball machines, I'm likely to become an EM guy. My pinball room isn't going to be very large, so that will limit my collection. I am thinking I will work on making the machines I already own as nice as I can. I'm still not sure I want to mess with repainting cabinets and heads though. We will see how bored I get. haha.
Picked up a stunning Golden Arrow. Did the 5 ball rules on 3 ballplay, made a topper and some general cleaning. Shoots smooth and the colors and theme sold me on this one. I play it often.

Beautiful machine. Congrats
Nice work. Did you find a lot of cold solder joints? The “Flippers” up to early 1963 seem to be especially bad… so many just pop off.
Quoted from NicoVolta:Did you find a lot of cold solder joints?
I must have gotten lucky. I actually went through this Flipper, a Flipper Cowboy, 2 Flipper Clowns, and
2 Flipper Fairs, and all was good except for one of the Flipper Fairs. The solder joints were horribly bad.
Also, earlier in the year someone on this group was going through a Flipper Fair, and multiple times he
would bring up the solder joints. He said all he needs to do is touch a wire, and the solder joint would
come off.
I have all the Flipper Series set up except for Flipper Clown which I went through years back (and now
in storage) and I remember all was okay. Just today I actually pulled in a Flipper Fair that was in the
barn because the playfield's a little better than the one that's set up, so I'll be finding out on it's solder
joints in the near future..
I have a short wanted list and they're games that aren't seen terribly often, but just 2 or 3 weeks ago
I got in one of them, and it's the AAB version, so they can be found. There's still a couple more I'd like
to have the opportunity to get traded in..
Oooooh… the elusive Hula-Hula. The only Chicago Coin I want haha.
I had to resolder every joint on my Flipper Fair. It was one of the unlucky ones.
Seems one of the production lines at Gottlieb or maybe one of the techs wasn’t doing it right for about eight years!

Funny, I find myself leaning more and more towards the classic Em's now than most of the newer ones.
Quoted from mricks1960:those two look awesome together! So, which is the better player?
Hey Mark! Yea I had my eye out for a Hula Hula (and maybe even the Replay version) but got
super fortunate to trade in an AAB.
One reason was I gathered it was a good player, and also I figured it would look nice next
to P.I., and yes, it is a good (fast) player, but I'd maybe put the P.I. slightly ahead as far
as game play. and maybe also with the Hula girl, but Hula Hula's Hula girl would be welcome
to join in anytime..

My problem is I'm outta room. I've turned my EM collection over a few times and now I'm at the point where i don't want to get rid of anything. Most of my EM games I've had sellers remorse and bought them again and/or tracked them down and bought them back. The EM's i have in my collection, most all of them have Wade Krause payfields in them and mostly restored. Makes it even harder to let go of them. The games I'm stuck with are: Atlantis, SkyJump, FreeFall, El Dorado, Abra Ca Dabra, Jumping Jack, Quick Draw, Sing Along, Hit the Deck, and Jungle (lives at the inlaws).
Quoted from Darcy:Something like the one posted below.
That is a beautiful and colorful machine and would go well!
I also wouldn't mind finding another 2 Player hula type AAB machine,
but I'm thinking there aren't any others. Even a Same Player Shoots
Again' would be okay. I do have a Paradise (which has a Shoot Again),
but that's way too close to P.I. I had to move out the AAB Loop the Loop
to put Hula in the row, but if I found another Shoot Again Hula theme pin,
I'd make the space. I like AABs, but if an Aloha did pop up, I'd have to
make the move to get it traded in. Too nice of a looker not to..
Quoted from BallyCrazy:This one would also be nice in the row
Tahiti! Had to look that one up. Jack Rogers! How many of them were made?
So the machine has regular colored score reels with a light bulb inside the reels
that shine through the reels then through the lense type images on the backglass?
I'm not even sure I've seen a pic of that machine before, but if one did pop up, I'm
sure I'd be exploring..
Quoted from Vic_Camp:Or how about this one?
Another beautiful machine, and I've been told I need at least one Bingo, but
the thing is, I already have many other machines I'd like to have set up, but
the room isn't there..
I will say there is one Bingo type machine I kinda regret letting go, and if I
recall correctly, it was called Steeple Chase. It was United (I believe 1952),
nice shape right from the original old time Vendor. The playfiled was laid out
like a Bingo, and it had the animated 6 horse race track in the backglass like
Derby Roll.
Because of it's uniqueness is why I kinda wish I had kept it..
Quoted from Vic_Camp:Or how about this one? It’s for sale…

C'mon Vic. How much? Love the theme and colors!
Where is it listed?

"Stuck with" isn't how I'd describe that incredible line up.
