Looks like you can get 12 more in there Jethro! And I see the Harley made it all the way from Indy! Hope all is well my friend! (Got props on the HD lamps you made last week, amazing work thanks again!)

Thanks! It’s getting a little cramped with 9 machines in my 1 car garage . Yeah, the Harley made it ok, and I can ride it all winter long out here! I see you got the bug bad. Lucky you out there in Midwest project haven.

Of course, it’s very important to make sure patients get in their wrist therapy!

Its the standing therapy they need, though I have caught a few playing from wheelchairs!

Pro Football sitting next to Alice Cooper’s Nightmare Castle. Set to 3- ball, my high score is 74 points. Bought for $200, plugged it in and it works great! Fun game.

Lighting in the head works now. Doesn't look too bad for a 60s game that just came off route 22 days ago

Finished my Dancing Dolls project. Replaced a few broken parts, cleaned all the steppers, a little paint, and it plays like new! Before and after pics...

Getting closer to wrapping this project up:
kingpin (resized).jpgkingpin (resized).jpg

There are a hand full of electrical bugs to chase down. Cosmetically, the apron and back box rear panel are the last major things. Once I get the rest of the to-do list for it finished, I'm sure I can get at least $5000 on craigslist for this rare collectable vintage mancave pinball game! </sarcasm>

Nice touch with the highlights on the bowling balls in the cabinet art. Classy.

Ms. Domino just got some new Roto-Target labels courtesy of pinballrescue.net - I've been mostly ignoring the targets in play, since it's been hard to discern the 2 vs. 3 pips and the 4 vs. 5 pips (and also, drain monster aiming for the center). Proud of myself for getting the target rotor on / off / aligned successfully - being an engineer you know I did not put the glass back until I had tested each target to make sure it worked properly with the playfield dominos. But all in all a much easier project than I feared.

Mr. Duotron is awaiting some new, slightly hotter flipper coils - I was OK with them initially but Domino arrived with some peppier yellow dot coils and Duotron feels a bit sad in comparison. Coils and sleeves and springs (the left one is kinda shot) - will give me a little project when those come in. Got some contact cleaning and adjusting to do on him next time he's opened up - plays fine but the chimes don't always sound for some of the lane rollovers. And I got a chime rebuild kit a while back but still not happy with the tone, so some tweaking to do there.

I'm at 100% capacity in terms of available space, but I love to window shop the 60's / 70's EMs - enjoy seeing all the games that folks post, many of which I recall from back in the day....

Just picked up this gem and got it home after a short 10 hour drive. Got a few things to work on but it’s mostly cosmetic. It’s one I’ve been wanting to own for awhile.

I saw this one and was wondering - do the head and cabinet have the same serial number?

#12220 4 years ago
Quoted from DaMoib:

They are the same. At first I couldn’t find the backbox serial number but it was hidden under the score adjustment card.

They do look different. My guess is that the backbox is dingy yellow due to cigarette smoke wafting up from an ashtray on the playfield glass. Makes me glad I quit 20 years ago.

Something weird I just noticed. Both machines have a non-matching drop target in the same position on the left bank. I’ve already ordered the correct replacement from PBR.

Just a strange coincidence?

#12224 4 years ago

Such a fun game. I have the identical two-player version Quick Draw that I restored several years ago. Still among my very favorites in my collection -- just keeps you coming back for "one more game".

not a coincidence; the black horseshoe target on both banks resets (other targets stay down) and is worth 5K each. I believe if hitting all targets down, only those black targets resets. GREAT FEATURE!

It is a great feature but I was referring to both machines having an incorrect replacement target on the far left of the left drop target bank.

If you blow up the pics, you can see that mine is white with a black horseshoe and Mr Fisty’s is a solid yellow instead of the correct yellow with a cowboy head target.

Strange.

Great game -- I love my King Pin and have restored two of them over the past couple of years. Such a fun game and great cabinet artwork. Pinball Pimp makes the stencil if you're doing a repaint. Congrats!

Good score Raff. That cab could sure use some tlc, so have fun with your repaint. Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Mine was the same way... the backbox was holding together via the power of "thoughts and prayers". But nothing a bottle of glue and clamps couldn't fix up. The artwork was easy to repaint. If you have access to a plotter cutter, I can send you the files so you can make your own stencils fro the bowling ball, pins and some other bits. The pointy lines, I just measured the original and then masked off with blue tape.

Latest pickup, a 1968 Bally RockMakers. Ted Zale zipper flipper goodness with an upper flipper like Surfers. BG is screaming for a BGresto replacement and PF has typical wear. Cabinet is super nice and appears to be original paint. No flaking like other RockMakers I have seen. Seller had this game for several years and supposedly bought it from the original owner that had in their possession since new.

One more off my wish list.

Webbing is usually done before spraying the graphics. There are webbing spray cans, but it's difficult if not impossible to get the fine, subtle webbing effect from a spray can.

#12250 4 years ago

Cool, I was just curious. I typically dip a small wire brush into black lacquer paint that I pour out onto a paper plate and, while wearing a rubber glove, just flick the brush bristles with my index finger and it does a good job with the flecking. I test first on cardboard.

Webbing is the stuff that's harder, but I've done that too.
