Very nice looking machine. I had the 2 player version and loved it. Gotta love card themed drop target games.

This is certainly a good one.

Nice looking machine. It has great artwork. I’ve never played it though. It looks like a lot of fun. 1960’s games are my favorites.
Quoted from o-din:This is certainly a good one.
I've never played this one I don't think (lotta years gone by) but you have to be honest, in terms of BG and PF art there is nothing produced today that compares.

It's a great game. If it has one negative, which isn't that big a deal, is the light up cards on the backglass are a carry over feature from game to game.
The artwork is beautiful with several pretty ladies. And the progressive rules that go along with the 4 drop targets makes each one important.

I did get it to "play" by setting score reels to 0[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
I absolutely love mine. Nothing but fun. Congrats

I thought you were attempting a little Haiku there!
Quoted from Playdium:Ug, so many score reels....
Fortunately, these are the well designed kind that are super easy and quick to work on. With strong switches that rarely break or go out of adjustment.

Anything is better than Gottlieb score reels. Especially the first decagon type. Those three switches can make you swear and scream.

it is my 1st Williams game. I found a few solder joint failed, popped off the lug, when I pulled thew reel out to clean it. looks like the lug was never tinned before the wire was soldered to it.

you use Haiku to fix your games? where does one buy that stuff??

Try the local Japanese grocery.
Great stuff, that Haiku.

What, you don’t like de-soldering the wires to the coil just to replace a coil sleeve?
Actually, I like the actual decagon shape they had, with flat fronts for the numbers, but that’s not worth it for the drawbacks.
Quoted from jrpinball:Anything is better than Gottlieb score reels. Especially the first decagon type. Those three switches can make you swear and scream.
Their early ones which are basically a clone of Williams early ones, which they may have borrowed from other arcade games of the time, aren't so bad.
Quoted from bob_e:it is my 1st Williams game. I found a few solder joint failed, popped off the lug, when I pulled thew reel out to clean it. looks like the lug was never tinned before the wire was soldered to it.
I guess it depends on who was doing the soldering that day. Williams would not be alone there, as I had a Big Casino and a 4-Square where almost every solder joint I touched popped off because there was just enough there to make the wire stick, but not enough to make it through the hole on the switch blade.
Quoted from wolverinetuner:Actually, I like the actual decagon shape they had, with flat fronts for the numbers, but that’s not worth it for the drawbacks.
They eventually went back to round reels with the same balky unit driving them. The last version of the "decagon" unit was definitely better.
I see the decagon as something they spent a lot of time engineering, over engineering, but added the switch drive as an afterthought. Those cheap thin switch blades sure didn't help the cause.
What the decagon does give you when working properly and the plastic slide mounts aren't busted, is perfect alignment of the score reel numbers visible through the backglass. That is if they haven't flaked off or been washed off yet.

Yes indeed, looks like little to no wear especially at the pops. Great title. I love mine. Congrats !

Start a thread i want to watch this beauty clean up!
We picked up these two barn-find beauties for The Robotics Lab kids to fix. Some of the kids on our non-profit’s robotics team has started playing pinball competitively and decided to branch off and learn a new skill, so they sold some robot parts and bought these. $650 for both.
Rotton Rubbers on both
Bally Surfers came on and played, zipper flippers closed and reopened, no key. Backglass looks pristine.
#spanish-eyes turned on and the set of switches under the playfield rolled continuously, no lights came on. Backglass has a little flaking, mostly on skin.
Will unload tomorrow and start taking inventory. (Whoever designed the Town & Country minivan must have loved pinball. 2 fit perfectly with weekend luggage for a family of 4)
These are our first EMs.

Nice! One tough to find; the other ("Spanish Eyes") seems to be growing on trees lately. Not that it's a bad game, but a lot of these are turning up lately.
"Surfers", on the other hand is one I have not yet come across, and I've been around a loooong time, and have come across many, many games over the years.

The best pinhauler around! I've schlepped many a pin in my Chrysler minivans.
Quoted from gdonovan:Anther zipper flipper is in the house..
I am glad you scored another unique pin,
but for some reason Dixieland had never caught my fancy.
I never really had the desire to acquire it.
Maybe it was the cartoony artwork
or those hungry side drain outlanes?
But I am sure you will give it the love and respect
any vintage pin deserves.
NicoVolta, I am sure would disagree with me on my opinion on Dixieland.
I had one years ago and really enjoyed it. It was kind of a departure from my typical game. I'm not sure it's what one would describe as a challenging game but somehow fun nonetheless. Quirky, innovative and charming like I suspect a lot of Ballys of this era are? A game I'd like to revisit I think.

No real opinion on it yet, the artwork doesn't do anything for me but it does seem rather fun to play. The prior owner hacked in 2 relays and a bunch of wiring to make the game easier to play, I'm in the process of ripping it all at and setting thing right. So far the only thing not fixed is the ball return gate which I'm working on now.
I've never played one but I thought it looked interesting especially the right side with the pins the ball goes through (can't really see it all due to the light) and exits the gate.
Quoted from RWH:I've never played one but I thought it looked interesting especially the right side with the pins the ball goes through (can't really see it all due to the light) and exits the gate.
Dixieland is all sorted out aside from a good cleaning and wax, everything works as it should!

Honda one's nice too

what benefit did the hack provide in terms of game play?

One of the hacks clearly advanced the "dixieland" step unit more often than usual. The other was related to turning the pop bumper lights on or off depending on if a gate was open or not I think. Also the 200 point roll over at the bottom of the mini field was wired for something.
I did not explore too much, just started chopping all the non-factory wiring out and setting things right. Had a few problems to sort out but ultimately not related to the hacking.
Quoted from gdonovan:Dixieland is all sorted out aside from a good cleaning and wax, everything works as it should!
Did you fix the flippers?
Quoted from SirScott:Did you fix the flippers?
Did I flip them since they are "upside down"? Someone flipped them as they were cracked, I'll have new ones on order with PBR in the morning.

How about some pics of that Shelby Charger???

'84 converted over to Turbo II. Now up in Mass with another turbo Dodge owner. It was a toy for my wife and she got bored with it so let it go.

Nice.
I personally don't go for white vehicles in general (just personal preference). But that one sure looks like it was in nice shape. Don't see very many Rampages for sure.
Loved riding around in my buddy's 84 back in mid 90s. I almost bought an 83 years back and still wish I had...but have too many cars and other projects anyway.
Don't we all. Lol.

That was the way it was purchased, a nice Cadillac white pearl. Someone converted the windows over to power as well. It was a fun little ride but l-bodies (Omni & Charger) were always fussy vehicles to keep on the road.
My CSX far less of a headache and runs 12's at 107.

Yes which made it even easier for me to deprive people of their funds when they bet against me.
Just a k-car right? Suckers.
